What a Beautiful Day

At least, considering the temperature, it was a beautiful day. It was one of the warmer days that they've had all winter, and Lindsey was feeling great outside. Granted, she was still wrapped up in all of the coats she had, but she didn't feel uncomfortable. She was actually rather warm in her get-up, and while she had some free time, she took it to the forest where she carelessly strolled along through the snow-covered trees. With the sun shining down on the snow, it was a little blinding, but it was nothing less than gorgeous. About halfway to the lake, she stopped and took a seat on the ground and leaned back onto the trunk of a close tree before just taking a deep breath and enjoying the nice, frigid air. "Ah, it's so great to just enjoy the outside again!"

Aessa was originally here to have an attempt to practice her power but she had to be honest, she never really expected to actually succeed in it. So now, much to her surprise, she was flying around the forest, being so tiny that you can barely spot her from a 10 feet radius. Though she must admit it was excruciating to decrease your size by 10 and spurt wings on her back. In fact, it made her want to rest on a leaf and sleep but she didn't really trust the environment quite yet. What if a person found her and decided to squish her? Aessa felt a chill run through her spine as she imagined herself as a dot pressed against the leaf, with no way of getting help.  Suddenly, the flashback on how she came here in the first place hit her, causing her to lose focus:

Aessa was walking around the forest, trying to enjoy her new home as much as possible. It wasn't going to be easy, of course, but it can't stop her from being outside could it? She had heard from the other students saying that the forest was not only beautiful but it was also an excellent place to practice in. Let's see about that, Aessa scoffed to herself, settling herself in a nice and private place. There. Now that she found the right place, she had all the time in the world to practice. Aessa then closed her eyes, trying to find the fairy aura in her. At first, Aessa found the whole process harmless but then, her back suddenly expanded and she slowly felt herself losing oxygen. It was like someone was choking her and tearing her back open at the same time. After a few excrusinating moments, she found herself back to normal....or as normal as a tiny flying girl could be. Although she must admit it took her a few moments to recover, she soon found the energy to fly around a little and that is where she is now.

Suddenly, she felt herself bump into something and was pushed back. "Ow...." Aessa groaned quietly, rubbing her head comfortingly. Her hand was blocking her vision, making it impossible to see what exactly she bumped into.

When something hit her arm, Lindsey almost completely flipped out. She quickly jumped and scooted away from her spot, brushing off her arm until she was positive that there wasn't anything on it anymore. But what kind of bug would simply be wandering around the woods in the freezing weather? Didn't the snow kill all of them or shove them into hiding? It took her only a few seconds of looking around before she saw the tiny winged girl rubbing her head, and almost instantly, Lindsey was stunned. That was definitely a first for her. Never in her life had she seen anyone turn into a fairy... or pixie? This power was a first, so she couldn't believe it for a few moments. "Oh, uh... hi there?" she questioned, trying to figure out what to do. It was a strange situation to be in, especially when she didn't know that if this was an actual student or an actual living fairy.

"Oh, uh... hi there?"

Aessa immediately looked up and moved her hand away, looking at the brunette in horror as she slowly took in the fact that the girl was at least 10 times larger than her. "I-I," she stammered unsteadily as she felt herself tremble, feeling faint. What was this girl going to do? Was she even a Beata student? Oh, Aessa really hoped so. "Oh, please don't fall, Aessa, she begged to herself desperately as she tried to balance herself, You don't want to faint now. Would the girl mind if Aessa sat down? She sure hoped not; Aessa felt like she was getting weaker and weaker by the second. So, she settled herself down onto a nearby leaf, slowly feeling herself calm down. There, she felt so much better. "I-I'm Aessa. Sorry for bumping into you earlier. I'm guessing you're from Beata? she asked hesitantly, blushing at the sound of her voice. Aessa never liked her voice when she transformed; it was too unnatural sounding and high-pitched, just like a robot. A smoother robot anyways....but that was totally besides the point. The point was why exactly the girl was here anyways? Oh wait, that's right: the Forest was a public place, not a reserved place. It could be used 24/7....what was she thinking?
