| Okay. This was going way too far. They definitely wouldn't have let this school continue with a history like that. And even if they did, they'd tell a person before they came... right? Totally. This Evelyn girl was pulling one big prank, but that didn't stop the fear show through Penny's face. Of course, she would deny being freaked out, but at this point she didn't really care. Although she was more afraid of the more recent happenings that this girl had talked about. She could make up all she wanted about what happened in the past, but she was truly scared about the headmaster now and all of those people being hurt and stabbed and such. "Alright stop. This is just one big Halloween joke or something, right? There's no way that anyone would let this happen! I-I mean, you don't just let people come to the school after a stabbing!" It was very obvious at this point that she was just filled with disbelief. Her mind wanted to block out and deny that any of it could have or probably did happen, but at the same time, Penny could see in Evelyn's face that she wasn't lying. She hoped that the girl was, but no. She wasn't expecting a "nah, I was just kidding!" out of her mouth any time soon... | |

| Evelyn's expression turned incredulous. "G-go look in the infirmary and s-see for yourself, then!" she suddenly snapped, hysteria entering her voice. "This p-place's a death trap!" The girl stood there for an awkward second that seemed to last too long before realizing that she was quivering and that her knuckles were white. She breathed deeply and took a step back, still shaking like a leaf. Just stop... Calm down... And then a more disconcerting thought. I need it.
The girl plopped unceremoniously back down on the piano bench and reached blindly with a shaky hand for the dagger strapped to her thigh, mostly concealed under her skirt. It was a strange thing, but it comforted her to hold it... to just grip the hilt tight and stare into the metal. It was funny to think the girl had resented it so much, at one point. She drew it from its sheath, with no regard for Penny's presence for the moment, and pulled it out in front of her, looking at her pale and distorted reflection in the blade to calm her quaking.
Whenever Evelyn looked into it, it was as if she forgot all about social grace and those around her. All of the complicated and choreographed actions she had to go through to seem 'normal' that seemed to come so easily to everyone else. Faintly, the little voice, her own voice, in the back of her mind was yelling at her, calling her an idiot and a weirdo for just siting there cradling a knife, but for once she ignored it. I need this, just for a second...

| "Alright, alright! I believe you!" she cried, waving her hands in the air as a passive way to tell this chick to chill out. She didn't mean to make her upset, but this was insane. Maybe more than insane considering they still let her come to the school after all of that. At least they caught whoever did it... Well, she hoped, and at this point she wasn't going to ask anymore questions about the school. It already felt like she was forgetting that what Evelyn said was the truth. Her mind was in complete denial and she just went along with it.
Taking a deep breath, Penny quickly calmed herself before looking back at Evelyn which only brought up another look of pure concern. She was... comforting a knife? Okay, that was strange, but with the stories going on around here, and not to mention the super powers, Penny was just going to roll with it at this point. "Hey are you okay?" she asked quizzically, hoping that she wasn't getting too much farther in over her head anymore.

| Evelyn nodded absently. "I'm f-fine..." she mumbled quietly. The girl reluctantly tore her gaze away from the knife and gave Penny a sheepish glance with bright red cheeks. "Um... s-sorry... just, uh... yeah... I'm f-fine..." She sheathed the knife in one fluid motion before returning her gaze to the floor and shuffling her feet. Now what? Were they just going to continue the conversation as if nothing happened? Was she just going to leave? How terribly awkward.

| Well yeah. This was actually pretty awkward, but hey. It wasn't more awkward than... actually, never mind. This girl was pretty interesting though. A little... unstable maybe, but apparently who was really stable here at this school? The biggest question she pretty much had at this moment was why in the world Evelyn had a knife in the first place, but Penny wasn't going to question it. Not now. She decided that questioning things wasn't a good idea. "So... uh, what brought you here to the studio?" she asked, ultimately trying to change the subject. | |

| Evelyn seemed to shrink up at the question. "Oh... I just wanted to try out the p-piano..." she answered softly as she drew in her arms. The girl did get to try it out, if only for a few minutes. The rest of the visit to the Studios didn't turn out as great, but at least she got to play. "Um... w-what about you?" Evelyn asked, in her own attempt to alleviate the awkward tension in the air. It would be nice to talk about something normal, but she half-suspected that Penny wouldn't be hanging out with her again any time soon. I'm so stupid... | |

| Okay good. So maybe the whole switching the subject thing could work. It still felt awkward, but thankfully the conversation was slowly alleviating the tension, if only a little bit. With a quick look around the small room, Penny could only shrug. There really wasn't a huge reason as to why she was here. She was just walking around. "Actually, I just happened to stumble upon this building. Being new here and all..." her voice trailed off for a second as she realized how her sentence could possibly go back to the whole 'death trap' thing again. "So, I just gave myself a tour. The building looked cool and it was starting to rain so I just took shelter in here. It didn't take too long to look through all of the dusty rooms, though. Does anyone clean this place up anymore?" She asked, rubbing one finger down a desk not too far away from her only to bring up dust covering the tip of her finger while leaving a clean trail behind on the top of the desk. It wasn't too disgusting, but it definitely looked like it hadn't been touched in a while. | |

| "Ah..." Evelyn took a moment to formulate her thoughts, taking a glance around the room. It did look as if it hadn't been used in awhile. The piano and bench had been covered in a layer of dust when she'd come in, but she hadn't thought much of it. "I guess this one's just been pretty neglected for awhile... T-the Autumns really only use these S-studios for the most part, and t-they're usually pretty... careless w-when it comes to cleaning..." Stereotypes were bad and misleading in most cases, but that one was undeniably based in truth. | |
