| Evelyn was humming softly to the tune of 'Let It Snow' as she hung another ornament on the tree. It was modest―hardly taller than herself―and fake. That struck her as odd; one might think that a private boarding school wouldn't be so cheap. Maybe they have to be conservative. she thought as she bent over to dig out another ornament from the box on the floor. This isn't an ordinary private school, after all. | |

| "Hey, could I possibly help decorate?" Richard asked as he entered the room only being able to notice her due to the fact that an entire box of ornaments was being shuffled through rather loudly. But it wasn't too bad. It was pretty close to Christmas. Who wouldn't be decorating? "Not that you're doing a bad job or anything. Christmas is just fun, you know?" He added quickly with a small laugh. He knew how some girls were. Hopefully she wasn't one to take things the wrong way all of the time. It was actually strange that he hadn't ever really seen her around here before. | |

| Evelyn jumped in surprise and whirled around to see the boy. Why were people always sneaking up on her like that? "Um... y-yeah, sure..." she said somewhat suspiciously, trying to keep the reluctance out of her voice. She never worked well with others, and wasn't too big on sharing either. Even if it was sharing a workload.
She looked him over carefully. The boy was tall. I suppose he could be helpful... "I, uh..." she faltered with her words and nervously began to twiddle with her fingers. "...I c-could use some help w-with the walls and s-stuff... and t-the lights, too. T-those ones." Evelyn pointed to the other boxes strewn about the floor, filled with all kinds of things she had managed to dig up from some storage container. In truth, the girl wasn't much of a decorator, but there hadn't been much else to do. Even snowmen lost a bit of appeal once you made enough.

| As the two interacted, a wolf pup would walk into the room, pausing as he sees the two. After taking a moment to realize what they were up to, he spoke. "Decorating?" Montare, even as he was now, still was quite fond of decorating, as it was something well practiced for celebrations in his clan. | |

| Richard smiled and nodded as he began to search through the boxes on what he could do to help. "Lights, huh?" he asked as he began to pull out strings and strings of lights to hang up, almost covering himself in them before getting to the bottom of the last strand. "Well, this will be interesting. Where do you want them?" he asked before turning to see the little wolf puppy entering the room. It took him a second to get over the small surprise as the animal spoke. "Yeah. Just doing a little something for Christmas. Shouldn't be too difficult." | |

| Evelyn warily gave Richard one last glance before turning to the tree. "W-well... um... Just around the tree and stuff... Up on t-the walls too, m-maybe..." She shuffled her feet, feeling extremely uncomfortable giving him directions. "But, um... you c-could put them up wherever... I m-mean, it d-doesn't really matter to me... heh..." Her voice trailed off and she stared awkwardly down at her feet for a silent moment before bending down to grab another ornament and make herself look busy.
Suddenly, the sound of pawsteps and an all-too-familiar voice sounded behind her. She instinctively stiffened up and looked over her shoulder, her eyes full of suspicion as she regarded the innocent looking puppy. As if things couldn't get worse. Her arm began to sting again at the sight of him, where he had cut her in the woods. Montare probably had the harsher wounds, but that didn't make it hurt any less. Did he have to visit the nurse, she wondered? Evelyn briefly considered just walking out, but decided against it and looked back down to rummage through the box with a resolve and ever-so-slight stubbornness that was unusual with her typical timidness. I won't let him ruin my fun. she thought to herself. I can't let him drive me away.

| Montare looked at the two, although slightly more focused on Richard for the simple reason it wasn't as easy to focus on Evelyn. However, seeing her caused him to think back to the forest. His wounds resulting from that was why he spent much time since in a inhuman state, the different form helped with naturally healing the wound.
But despite the wounds, he was not angered at Evelyn, as at this point he could imagine he would not easily convince others that he isn't like he once was. Paying attention to what was at hand, he spoke. "Ah, do you need any help?"

| A young man stumbled into the room, with boxes in his arms stacked up to above his head, the poor boy could hardly see where it was going. It wasn't that it was a lot he was carrying, only that each box contained something very large and fragile that needed its own special care - and infinite padding; like candlesticks (from way back when the school was just a normal mansion), or a few ornaments, as well as the star for the tree~ Either way, Jace had been instructed to take the items down to the decorators. He didn't look around much at who was there when he set the boxes down on the couch. "Delivery!" He said with half a smile. | |

| Richard shrugged as he nodded to Evelyn and began to hang up lights, starting at the top of the small christmas tree and working his way down. "If you want to grab something else, I'm sure that garland could be hung up somewhere... if we have any," He responded to Montare as he suddenly ran into a tangle in the lights. Struggling to get it out, he stopped when he heard yet another voice enter the room. "Hey, what's in those boxes you got?" It's funny how he has yet to actually ask who these people are. He didn't know Montare or Jace, but it wasn't like it really mattered much. He didn't even know Evelyn, actually, but hey. It was the best way to get to know people. | |

| Evelyn stopped paying much attention to Montare and the like as she mindlessly rooted around the box, unsure of what she was looking for or what she was trying to do. Her mood was already darkening when even more footsteps approached, and Jace's familiar voice called out as he set a comical stack of large boxes on the couch. Fantastic. Now what did she say to him? Their last encounter―like all encounters, it seemed―had ended awkwardly, with him rambling darkly about running away to hunt down Barrett Spion... and he had asked her to come with him. The girl still didn't quite get it. Evelyn looked up from the box with a faint forced smile and mumbled out some sort of 'thank you' before quietly returning to work; if you could call it work. Evelyn quickly fished out the first thing she spotted, which just so happened to be a string of Christmas lights, and set it in a pile by her side. | |
