Here Comes Jayden~!

Lotte watched as they signed back and forth in a blur of meticulous hand motions. With each gesture, there seemed to be a slightly different angle of the wrist, a finger curved more, and both people caught said things and understood each other perfectly. It fascinated Lotte. Maybe they would teach her it? Ethel was even more intrigued. "Ask them what they are doing. It looks weird." she whispered, tugging on Lotte's sleeve. To lot, she felt the pulling and even saw her shirt stretch under Ethel's pale hand. However, no one else saw a thing.
"It is sign language. People who can't talk or communicate like that use it..." Lotte whispered behind her back. Her friend seemed pleasantly surprised. In her two years sharing a bond with Lotte, she had never seen something like that. Upon looking at this new language, Ethel started imitated it, silently moving her hands in strange ways. Of course, the movements were random and sloppy, but she wanted to try it out. Another gust blew. Ethel's dress didn't budge.

Jayden shuffled his feet and averted his eyes. He didn't particularly like being the center of attention. It seemed that as soon as people found out he was mute, a spotlight shined down on him. Great. Jayden looked up at Lotte. He noticed her speaking and frowned slightly, wondering who she was speaking to. 'Ask Brown Hair her name, and who she's talking to.' He signed quickly, looking around with a quick red eyed gaze.

Wren felt out of place, as if she really didn't have a place amongst the conversation. Yet, at the same time she wasn't sure what to add to the discussion. Asking about families got too personal and asking about powers often came off as too nosey. So the blonde remained silent, watching him sign in awe and wishing she could be a part of this mystical language. It was so different from anything she had ever seen and being that she didn't know anyone who was mute or deaf for that matter before this time. She tried to advert her eyes every now and then I avoid creeping him out, but still remained quiet. Listening and watching the conversation.

"Pleasure, Wren. Interesting name. And accent." He mused, eying the camera in her hands. Eh. He was not the most photogenic person.
Jason had stuffed both hands into his pockets, looking at the brown-haired girl just as curiously as she whispered behind her back. He would've supposed that she was talking to Wren... if Wren were behind her and not beside. His golden gaze flickered over reading Jaii's movements and nodding, "He'd like to know your name - and who you're talking too." Jason said, eying Lotte.

Lotte blinked. She had assumed it was quite enough to not be heard, but then again, her lips were clearly visible. They curve upwards on the outsides. "Yes. I have a complicated power, you see. I have made a bond with a ghost, and in return, she protects me from the influence of other, more demonic spirits... she giggled awkwardly. "Her name is Ethel. She had died hundreds of years ago."
Ethel lifted a hand, her long index finger reaching out to Lotte's shoulder. "May I...greet them?" she asked. Her accent made her sound more innocent, but Lotte was afraid of switching places with Ethel. What if she didn't allow her to return to her own body?

Jayden's eyes immediately brightened in surprise. A ghost? He found it fascinating. Quickly he stood, placing the now forgotten guitar in his previous seat. Eyes narrowed, he looked round for said ghost. Was there any way to tell that the ghost- Ethel, was there? He didn't notice a shadow, or a light, or colder air. Frowning in defeat, he signed, 'Very cool power. What is she doing now?' for his brother to translate.

Was it strange that the was she said it gave Jason the chills? Only dealing with the dead and demons (it sounded like some strange, wiccan story, but with their world - he could believe it.). She made it sound as if it were no big deal. "Cool?" He repeated, looking at Jayden like he was crazy before clearing his throat. "Erm - I mean, what's she doing right now?"

"Erm...." Lotte started. "She wants to greet you guys..."
She did not want to show her trembling. Ethel had not taken control of her in the three years they had shared a bond. She did not want Ethel to see she was scared, though. If she did see, Ethel would insist on not doing it, and her feelings would be hurt. Ethel longed to talk to a person, as she had for the last few centuries. Lotte didn't want to take that away from her. Her camera hung around her neck on a black string. She had forgotten about taking pictures, and let go of it.

Wren a eyes were wide and she stared at the girl with a new-found curiosity. Yet, she remained quiet, unsure of what to add and especially now. A ghost? As in a real ghost? Like, the dead? Yes, much like Jason, the mention of the word brought a ripple of goosebumps down her arm. Her smile was gone and replaced with a wide-mouth gap and almost a gasp from excitement. The muddle of emotions was making her head spin, so this girl wasn't just talking to herself? So this was really happening? "Brilliant." Was all she could manage to say.

Jayden was still gazing at the girl in curiosity. 'Of course it's cool. Don't be a wimp, brother.' Jaii breathed out what could be considered a laugh- abeit, a silent one and looked over at Lotte again. 'Ask her- if it would be okay if the ghost could greet us.' He didn't understand quite how that would work, but nonetheless he was deeply fascinated.

Jason made a small scoff at his brother's comment. He wasn't a wimp, ... he just didn't particularly like the idea of messing around with the dead, thank you very much... You know what? The blonde clamped his hand in front of his mouth, 'Shut up.' Little twerp. He shook his head and 'caught Wren's comment as well. Crazy, lot of them. D:
"Could we meet her?" He asked reluctantly.

Lotte looked down, and after a little moment, nodded slowly. It would be fine. Ethel would not hurt her. She looked at Ethel and smiled weakly, and so did the ghost before touching her friend's cheek. Her pale hand gingerly touched Lotte's skin, and Ethel murmured. "Bond; Switch."
Immediately a jolt rushed through Lotte. Her body shook as Ethel's spirit disappeared. She let out a small sound, before collapsing to the floor, amber eyes closing. Lotte was out cold. Or was it Lotte...?

Wren was nervous about this display of abilities and her nerves became a reality when Lotte collapsed. Actually maybe it wasn't Lotte, what if it was the ghost spirit? What if it did it on purpose? Well, it didn't matter, this girls body was laying limply on the ground, she couldn't just let her lay there. "What is happening? Hello? Are you okay?" Wren asked, peering at the girl as she crouched closer. She was new here and the last thing she wanted to experience was a girls death. Especially when it could've been prevented, but this girl wasn't dead, was she? I mean she couldn't be... Right?

Lotte watched her own body collapse. She felt light, as if she was floating, and cold. Did it work? Ethel was no where to be seen, and she assumed her ghost friend was within her body's mind. They indeed might have switched places.
Lotte became scared, though. What if it had failed, and Ethel's spirit was trapped within her subconscious? What if she could never return to her body? What if she would never see Ethel again? She waved a hand in front of Wren's face, but got no response. They could not see her, and this frustrated the girl. Her body was not stirring yet, but the rise and fall of her chest showed she was not dead. Just...unconscious.

Jasob's eyes widened as the young woman collasped, seemingly out of nowhere. He had moved to catch her, but he had been standing too far away to catch her, so could only rush to her side to see if she were alright. "Hey, Ghost-girl?" He tried calling out to her, as Wren was also doing, even patting her cheek - he thought gently slapping her cheek might do something. "Did she hit her head or somethin."
