How to Work with Soccer Balls

Soccer. Great.

Aessa wasn't athletic, not at all. Perhaps at running, she was decent at but if it was anything that had to do anything with hitting and coordination, it was not a good idea. So today, she was going to practice, in an attempt to test herself. How good she could get with enough determination and hard work.

Which was probably not very much.

"You got this, Aessa," she muttered, bending down to pick up the soccer ball. What should she do for her first drill? Dribbling? Yeah, let's go to the basics.

Aessa stared at the tall boy, surprised that he was here in the first place. Why did she keep assuming that everywhere she went was a reserved place? She should have known she wouldn't have the place to herself. After all, it's a perfectly sunny day. "That would be nice," Aessa replied, looking at the boy curiously, "unless you're busy of course." She wouldn't mind with either option, since one would give her a chance to athletic knowledge and the other would give her privacy. Suddenly, she felt self-conscious about her height, for the boy was quite...tall. What was he, 5 feet 7 inches? She always felt self-conscious about her appearance but it always got worse when someone was much, much taller than her.

Like him.

Aessa blushed from the sudden flirty comment. "Smooth talker, aren't you?" Aessa said, smiling sheepishly. She watched as the ball dropped gracefully on to the ground and saw it roll easily towards him. "You're already a lot better than me," she mused as she watched Maytrix stop the ball with his foot, "I'm really bad at soccer. Not joking. You have no idea what you're dealing with." She ended the sentence with a small smile and watched him for his response. "i'm Aessa by the way."

Aessa laughed and nodded towards the soccer ball. "Thanks but I would prefer the soccer ball," she replied, smirking. She attempted to kick the ball out of his possession and to her surprise, she did...in the completely wrong direction. Aessa winced and watched the ball as it rolled into a bush. "Shoot, i'll get it. Sorry about that," she walked away, giving him a moment to think.

Maytrix nodded, watching her retreating form. Well, her ass that was. He was a teen boy, after all. He couldn't help it. As soon as she turned around, he wiped his forehead from 'sweat'. Slowly, he stretched his arms down, his fingers gripping the edge of his shirt. Pulling it up, he slowly revealed his abs, then his chest, then his face as he pulled the shirt off. He tossed it to the side, his somewhat tan skin contrasting nicely with his red basketball shorts.

Aessa turned around with the ball, only to see an almost half-naked boy. Although she didn't want to, she felt herself turn red and looked as he tossed the shirt carelessly away, smirking with confidence. "U-um...that works," she said, looking at his face rather than his...body. She tossed the ball to him, knowing for sure she wouldn't be able to kick it right. "Are you sure you don't want your errr...shirt back?" she asked, gesturing towards the shirt. She would like it if he put it back on....it would make her a whole lot more comfortable. And less red.

Aessa tossed him the ball and watched him closely, wondering what else he might do. After all, if there was only one word to describe Maytrix, it would be unpredictable...and flirty but honestly, Aessa would choose the word unpredictable over flirting any day. Besides, weren't unpredictable people also the most dangerous? What if he was just flirting to gain her friendship and then suddenly betray her when someone else came? Aessa just couldn't stand the thought of it. So as he began talking, she refused to look at his eyes, knowing that if she did, she would most likely blush. Honestly, blushing was the last thing she wanted to do because Aessa had this feeling that if she did, it would only convince Maytrix to flirt even more. Although Maytrix was a pretty good-looking person in general, she wished he could tone his flirting side a bit down. "Okay Maytrix," she grinned, gesturing towards the ball, "Show me what you got."

Aessa watched carefully, taking mental notes as he continued speaking. So what did you have to do to dribble? Apparently you just had to kick with the crook of your foot, with enough force to continue with the next foot. Well....that seemed easy right? "Thanks, I got it Maytrix," she said, nodding, "Here, let me try." She bent down to pick up the ball and took a few steps back, watching the ball in her hands warily After all, giving Aessa the ball was like a death sentence; anything could go wrong. She dropped the ball in front of her feet, just barely touching the tip of her feet. She slowly began to kick it with the crook of her foot, only to kick it too hard. She ended up chasing after the ball and tried to attempt it with the other foot. But no, this time it was too soft and she almost ended up almost tripping over the ball, barely catching her balance. She sighed in exasperation as she stared at the ball distastefully "C'mon Aessa, you got this," she thought to herself, trying again. Wait...what was this? She was doing it! After a few kicks or so, she slowed to a stop and looked at Maytrix excitedly. "I did it right?" she asked excitedly, "Not gracefully but I did it!"

Aessa nodded, turning around to continue but as she did, she saw Maytrix looking a bit...hot. Although Aessa wasn't the slightest bit of sweaty, she could understand how he felt, seeing that he did more running and kicking than she did. She looked at the boy thoughtfully for a moment, thinking on how to help him. Finally she got an idea. She turned to go towards a tree, where resting against its stump was her gym bag. Digging through it, she found two water bottles, for she brought one extra for emergency. After all, she originally planned to stay here for quite some time. Taking one water bottle and turning around to face Maytrix, she jogged towards him and handed him the bottle. "Here," she said, "You look a bit hot so I thought you would like this. Sorry, it's not very cold."
