It's Been So Long (Closed)

Keirsta watched with a slight amusement when she saw that Leo didn't have his bow. Surely, he'd be at a disadvantage. Looking at Leo when he had his trench knives, she gave a short grin, before lining up her target. She fired one sword directly towards where Leo was at, but also, three more. One was aimed above him, and the other two to the left or the right of him. Deciding quickly that close-combat would be the type of training she'd aim for, the girl started moving towards Leo, firing one or two more swords as she got closer. If he went up into the air, she'd make sure that they fought on even terrain. After all, she did have wings too.

Deciding at that moment to equip his other trench knife, Leo deflected the one coming at him. His blue eyes gave away no emotion as he fought. It seemed like he was a different person. That different person reached to his left and right deflecting those as well. However, instead of deflecting the one above him, he simply ducked before jumping up. The two swords that were come at him whizzed by, and Leo landed once more.

Unfortunately for Keirsta, the angel boy was not useless without his bow. He had learned to fight without it one or two times. As much as it would be nice to have, he knew that he shouldn't always rely on it. Now Leo didn't want to use his holy powers during training simply because it was dangerous. The only excuse he would have was a shield. Honestly he didn't want to be impaled at this moment in time.

With a calm facade, the boy lurched forward and close the distance between he and Keirsta. Of course he slowed his speed for everything. It was a spar, and he wanted to make sure she didn't get too injured. With that in mind, he send a slice toward Keirsta's face and another toward her torso.

Too injured or not, Keirsta was the type of person who shrugged off wounds easily, unless they were somewhat serious. Even though she shrugged them off, that didn't mean she showed pain. Smiling strangely when she saw that he closed the distance between them, she shed away the remainder of the swords, which to another's eye they practically just faded. So, this meant that Keirsta would be using mainly her hands and feet as her defense, and offense.

The fun part about sparring though, was that she could test out a few things. With the hope that things wouldn't get too carried away, of course. A soft 'woah' could be heard from Keirsta when Leo sliced towards her with his knives, and in the process of her trying to duck out of the way of the knife aimed at her head, the one Leo had aimed at her torso granted her a solid laceration on her cheek. Stupid me, should have gone back. Down wasn't smart. Doing her best to ignore the sting from it, she used this to her advantage. Kicking a leg out from underneath her, Keirsta aimed to knock Leo off his feet, as well as grab one of his trench knives.

Well, Keirsta managed to do one of the things she was aiming to do. Trench knives have a special grip on them, kind of like brass knuckles, but a blade. So Leo was slightly worried for the pink haired girl's hand. This wasn't an illusion, and if either of them got hurt, it would stay that way. The angel boy landed on his back with a soft thump, his wings spread out to his sides. Normally, he would have jumped right back up. However the grass seemed really soft at that moment. Instead, he kicked at Keirsta's knees, keeping her at a distance. He honestly didn't feel like getting up. Fighting like this caused a laugh to escape his mouth. "The grass is soft~" At this point, Leo was not really fighting, but messing around, a smile on his face.

Watching Leo with a certain amusement as he kicked at her, all the girl had to do was move out of range. In her case, it meant moving up towards his head. Well, in her strategy that's what it meant. Somewhat curious when Leo seemed to not get up, it made her wonder why not... When she got her answer right afterwards. "I thought you'd put up more of a fight." She commented, looking down at him with an amused smirk. Sitting beside Leo, a soft blue glow traced around her cheek temporarily, healing the cut from the trench knife. Laying back beside him, careful to avoid his wings, she realized that Leo was right. "The grass is surprisingly soft."

Once she laid down beside him, Leo smirked and rolled over on top of her. "You feel for it!" He laughed, a trench knife held to her throat. Not too close that it sliced open her skin, however close enough where if she tried anything, it could be disastrous. However Leo had a feeling Keirsta wasn't that dumb. "You're never supposed to let down your guard, Keirsta." The angel boy scolded the girl, his smirk slipping back into an amused smile.

The first thing the girl thought when she felt the knife close to her throat, was Oh shit. Doing the one thing her mind would think to do, one of her hands reached up and clasped Leo's arm. Pushing it back with just enough force so she could counter, as soon as she got it to the right spot, her other arm came up and pushed against Leo's shoulder, doping her best to flip the scenario. "What did I tell you, Leo? Never underestimate a girl." But in that moment too, she was pleasantly surprised. He had gotten her to let her guard slip to where he could surprise her with a lethal move, and she applauded him for that. Not at the time, though. But what she knew though, was he'd be dead meat trying that out elsewhere. The fact that she trusted him was also her greatest weakness.

Leo didn't seem to shocked when she pushed him on his back, huffing as his back was forced onto the ground. Raising an eyebrow, Leo opened his mouth to speak. "Okay, A! You never said that." He gave her a pointed look as she continued to hold him down. "Now B. I never underestimated a girl, or even you in the slightest." How could he? Keirsta was a strong person. Just because she lost in the first round of the tournament doesn't mean she wasn't strong. Now partially frustrated with being held down, his wings pushed against the ground, thus letting Leo sit up, and Keirsta to most likely either sit in front of him or fall backwards. Either way, the blond rose to his feet, and gave Keirsta a hand up. Also being sure to remove his trench knife from his hand so he wouldn't injure her. Although, it seems that she could heal herself. The cut on her cheek was gone, and he remembered seeing it heal with a blue light. Could his powers do it? He imagined not. Otherwise it would have healed his leg in the second round.

"Really? I could have sworn I had said that before."

What had happened to Keirsta from Leo pushing himself up was the latter, not expecting him to do such a thing. She would have gripped his shirt to keep herself upright, but hadn't mainly because, it had happened all too quickly before she could have. Taking Leo's hand, Kiersta stood up, quickly brushing some debris from her clothes. "Looks like you won this round. Want to head back to my dorm and watch a movie? It's starting to get late." Even if she was at her strongest during the nighttime hours, she wasn't one to stay out and train then.

Once Keirsta found her footing and had asked her question, Leo gave her a shrug. "Sure, if you want." The blond turned and took a few steps towards the dorms before pausing. Slowly he looked back, and eyebrow raised. "It won't be a chick flick, right?" He asked hopefully. To Leo, those movies were the worst. It could always be expected who was going to get together. Not to mention bonus points if one can play a guitar, and one of them gets caught in the rain. So Leo tended to stay away from those kind of movies. Satire was more his style. Nothing is better than cheesy jokes and cheap laughs.

It won't be a chick flick, right?

"Do I look like the type of person to watch those movies? They're boring. No, I was thinking an old school movie like E.T. or Rocky. Star Wars, even." Then again, she was a girl. It would be typical of her to probably watch one, but no. Jurassic World had even seemed nice. What could she say? She liked those movies. Action, danger... Hell, any violent movie was something that she enjoyed. She was just that type of girl, one who wasn't all froo-froo and dress-up. Jogging to catch up with Leo though, once she was beside him, she couldn't resist the urge to hold his hand. "You can pick it though, I've got quite a few you can choose from."

Leo laughed as Keirsta asked if she looked like she'd watch those kind of movies. He fought the urge to say yes, knowing he'd most likely receive some kind of compensation for his remark. Most likely a slap to the head or something painful like that. So Leo wisely decided to stay silent. It wasn't like he actually thought Keirsta would like those movies. It was more of a joking kind of thing. Old school movies huh? Like Breakfast Club. That was a really old one his parents loved to watch. Hm, the whole era of the early two thousands was kind of old school. Even if the Breakfast Club was in the 80s.

Something touching his hand caused the blond to glance down. A light blush colored his cheeks as he looked back forward, the building of the dorms slowly coming closer. After a few moments, he glanced at Keirsta observing her face in order to read her emotions. The girl hadn't seemed too upset once they got out of the dorm. Leo hoped she was beginning to feel better, death wasn't something very easy to get over. Looking back forward he gripped her hand a bit tighter.

As the dormitory building came into view, Keirsta looked down. She still had to call her mother back, but at the same time she just didn't want to. That woman was someone she had never really gotten along with, and rightfully so. She couldn't help but smile when she felt Leo grip her hand just a bit tighter, but the smile didn't last long. Brushing away some of the pink locks from her face, once they were at the dorm building she let go of Lei's hand, stepping ahead to open up the door for the both of them.

Still staying quiet, Keirsta made her way up the stairs, being sure to wait for Leo, matching his pace. It wasn't all that hard, it was kind of fun, even. Trying to make her steps fall in time with his was strangely entertaining. Once at the Autumn hall, the top floor, Keirsta flung that door open, too. Reaching the door to her dorm, she reached into her pocket for... Uh-oh. Her dorm key wasn't there. Goddamnit, me. She hissed to herself, replicating it with her gift to unlock the door. "I seriously wish they didn't keep these locked constantly." She chuckled, taking Leo with her back into her dorm. Once inside she shut the door, and the click of the lock could be heard. "So. What do you want to watch?"

As they passed that first tree they encountered, Leo scooped up his jacket and slug it over is shoulder with his empty hand. All the while letting his wings fade from his back, as they weren't necessary or really needed at all right then. Once they reached the stairs, he mindlessly made his way up, letting Keirsta's hand slip from his own. He barely noticed as she fell instep with with him. He hated stairs. Honestly, it would be so much easier to fly up. However, he'd much rather stick with Keirsta. Once at the door, he glanced back at her, waiting for her to pull out the key. When she didn't, Leo had to stop himself from laughing. Were they locked out? Leo's mussing was answered when she opened the door. Wait how did she do that? Shrugging it off, he followed her in, glancing around to actually take in the room. He had only focused on Keirsta the last time he was in here, so the blond decided to use this time to take it in. Only when his friend asked what he wanted to watch, was he brought out of his trance. With a thoughtful look he asked "Hm...do you have Guardians of the Galaxies..?"

The familiar name hit Keirsta's head quickly, and she nodded with a slight smile on her face. "You bet! It's a really good one." Jogging over to the cubicle-like storage shelf beneath the large flat-screen television of her dorm, Keirsta knelled down. Flipping through the surprising about of DVD and Blu-Ray disks she had, once she found it she yanked it out from the stack. Luckily, the rest of the disk cases didn't topple over and smack her in the head. Now, that would have been a bad mess to clean up. A painful one, somewhat. Plastic rectangles falling on your head? Ouch.

Pushing herself up off of her knee, Keirsta turned on the large television, as well as the DVD player. Popping the disc in, once she finished with that she grabbed the remote and plopped back onto the bed with Leo. "Do you want any snacks, soda, water... Anything at all?" She asked curiously. Funny thing was though, was that if she jabbed the wall with her elbow, the sound would go right into Leo's dorm room. Hehe. The funny part about the layout of the school.
