| Your arena is a very foggy one. The grass is short and damp, even a bit muddy - the ground is easy to sink into. You can barely see anything that isn't a few feet away from your eyes. Both of you may post once to ready yourselves before the fight begins. | |

| The battle field was detrimental towards both of them. Their feet sunk an inch into the ground, and one could barely see the other. It was not an ideal battle field for either of them, however it was more adapted for Lykos. Leo on the other hand, couldn't fly too high up if he didn't want to miss his shots he took with his bow. So here they were, waiting for the moment of their first and for one, possibly last battle of the tournament. They both stood there for a long moment, observing each other. Each nervous, tense, excited, and determined. They both wanted to win.
Lykos stood stock still, his left hand had taken up the duty of holding a shield, and the other gripped the hilt of the sword. With his chest puffed out, and red eyes glaring something a kin to a fire, he looked something like a god of war may look like. Although not as brawny as one would think. Appearances may be deceiving. In the inside, Lykos was terrified to lose. His power was Ares Physiology, and it would be mortifying to lose during the first round. He had been put off at first when he learned that he would be fighting someone with the ability to fly. He had no ranged attacks, so that would be an impossible battle. Thankfully, the fog limited the angel boy's flight. He wouldn't be able to launch very successful ranged attacks. Forcing his opponent into ranged combat, which was Lykos's specialty.
Leo felt the need to yell at whoever chose this setting. His opponent had no ranged attacks as far as he knew, and this battle should have been an easy win. Luck didn't seem for it to go that way for Leo. Instead it was to be that the surroundings were more suited for Lykos. Frowning he looked over the boy in front of him. He seemed confident. Who wouldn't be? This habitat was suited for him. "This doesn't decide the battle. Don't get ahead of yourself." He called out to his opponent, while pulling the bow from over his shoulders. He held his bow in his hands, looking down on it fondly. His first real battle with it. He'd make it count. An arrow was mocked and drawn as far back as it could, aimed for Lykos.
Such student readied himself with the shield, raising it to where if the blond boy launched an arrow, Lykos's shield would protect himself. A smirk played on the white haired boy's lips. "Sure it doesn't." Came a sarcastic reply. "And I am the Queen of England!"

| Clink!
An arrow bounced off of the shield and splashes onto the ground unceremoniously. A laugh escaped the boy hiding behind his shield. "Oh my! God save the queen!" The fake British accent filled his voice, and the thrill of battle begun. Ducked behind his large shield, Lykos charged forward in an attempt to get closer to Leo. The angel student knew that we wouldn't be able to shoot through the shield and decided to aim at the only available option. The opponent's feet. The only things exposed. Expecting such, Lykos rolled aside in order to avoid an arrow sent towards him. Once he caught himself, he rose to run to Leo again, chuckling all the while.
Thinking fast, bright white wings spread out from behind Leo, and he used them to propel himself into the air, narrowly avoiding the blade of his opponents sword. What was with this boy? Did he like fighting this much? All Leo knew about him was that he had the Physiology of Ares. Which may explain the boy's confidence, God of war and all.
Lykos glared as the bright blond disappeared as he rose into the fog. "Come down here, you coward!" He called up, A frustrated look adorned his face. With a sword drawn and a shield held high above his head, there was nothing more he could do then wait.
"Not by the hair of my cheney chin chin." Leo call down, smirking at his own response. Then at that moment, Leo had an idea. He quickly drew an arrow from the quiver between his wings, and sent down and arrow to where he had heard the voice of Lykos in an attempt to hit him based on where he heard the boy speak. The wiz of the projectile faded as it fell away from him and became embedded in the ground next to the opponent.
"Missed!"
'Not this next time.' The angel thought smugly, sending down another arrow in a confident manner.
The arrow landed next to Lykos again. However, he had moved since the last arrow had been shot down. He had an idea on how to get the angel boy down from the sky. He went silent, crouched in the Sawgrass shield held over his head in case any more arrows came down. Do it but he's aiming to do, he muttered profanity under his breath. Acting as if he had been hit by an arrow.
There wasn't any laughter or any words being spoken below him. Which was odd because that was the only thing that the other boy had done during the first part of the fight. Leo brightened as he thought; 'I hit him!' He let himself float slowly to the ground so he could get a good look at Lykos.

| A smirk widened as he heard the other student’s feet land on the ground. Sure, he had taken advantage of Leo’s caring nature, but this was a battle! Angel boy here can’t be soft during a fight. To prove this fact, Lykos leapt from his crouch and sliced sideways with his sword, snapping the bow in half. The crack echoed though the setting, before a jab was aimed toward Leo’s chest. Unluckily for Lykos, Leo had gained speed from his wings and used them to fly backward, sending a strong gust of wind at the attacker, further separating the two.
Blue eyes stared down at his broken weapon. Only after a few long moments did a calm fury rise from Leo. Eyes sharp as chips, he let the bow fall from his hands and looked up to stare in the eyes of Lykos, who held a large and confident smirk. ”What are you doing to do now? Huh? Pansy?” Leo’s only reaction was to grab his trench knives from his side. He didn’t want to fight out of ranged combat with this opponent, however there was nothing he could do, but fight like this.
”Come at me pretty boy!”
He did.
There was a fury of clangs and scrapes. A sword aimed and blocked, a fist adorned with a blade narrowly avoided. They were a perfect match. Each attack was countered with a dodge or a block. They weaved in and out of each other. A sight to behold to some. A deadly spar between opponents. Neither of them wanted to lose. It was the first round, and it would be embarrassing to go down without a fight. It was only when Leo began feeling tired did he realize the gravity of how strong his opponent was. His arms began slowing down unable to keep up with the speed of Lykos’s own attacks. Not to mention he was losing ground. Leo could retreat a few steps, his opponent would advance a few steps. It was not going to be a winning battle.
In a sudden movement, Leo pushed forward, sending his knife in a downward stab toward Lykos, a weak attack. As the white haired boy gripped Leo’s hand and wrenched it away into his own hand. Smirking, he lifted his wet foot from the ground and sent a kick to Leo’s chest.
The breath was knocked out of the angel boy, and the bright wings that aided before slowly disappearing. Blond hair flew into the boy’s blue eyes and he was sent backwards, hitting the soggy grass. Leo couldn’t breathe. His eyes were covered by his own hair, and his mouth tasted strangely like blood. Everything was spinning.
’I need to get up, but my chest…it hurts. Did I break something?” Not that it would matter after the illusion ended, but it would still effect his ability to fight. He made the move to get up and fight the pain in his chest. And by the sound of Lykos’s footsteps getting closer, he had to hurry.
Gritting his teeth Leo pushed off the soggy grass with the hand that no longer held his trench knife, only to be kick again. Leo cried out as pain bloomed from his right side.
”Get up! Or do you give up?” A taunt came from above.
”I’m not done yet.”. He growled back, eyes clenched shut, and arm grasping for some way to get up. Only to have his hand stepped on with full weight. The sharp pain stole his breath. Desperate, Leo used his other knife to stab Lykos in the leg, putting the rest of his energy into that last move. The blade dove right into the red eyed boy’s shin, causing a cry of pain and Lykos putting his other leg on Leo’s chest. With a grunt Lykos swore and tore Leo’s knife from his shin. Holding his hand much like he had before, Lykos keeled so his one foot stayed on Leo’s hand and the other leg rested on the boy’s chest, putting the weight on his knee. He then pinned Leo’s other hand with the knife above the blond’s head. A frightening and rather sickening grin on the white haired boy’s face.
”I’ll get you out of this tournament with your own weapon.”, which was held dangerously over the blue eyed boy’s face. Whom looked frightened at the boy’s smile, along with the fact that he couldn’t move his body. The pressure on his chest wasn’t helping whatever he had broken. Only then, did Leo realize sickeningly, that Lykos was playing with him. ’Am I really that bad…?”
Wait.
He could move his legs.
Finding new energy, Leo laid his feet on the grass and brought his knees up into the air. Ignoring the pain in his chest, Leo pushed off with his pelvis and rolled toward the hand Lykos was stepping on. Thus throwing off his tormentor. Leo then took advantage of Lyko’s surprise and then turned to sit on Lykos. Legs on either side he held his wounded hand up.
Recalling what he had learned in the gift mastery class, he focused on losing any anger and frustration he had. Finding peace. Then he felt power in his right hand. The wounded one. Eyes open and determined to win and finish this, he sent is glowing arm into Lykos’s face. Effectively knocking the white haired boy out, and as well as breaking his nose. The bone from the nose, however broke off, and was sent into the boy’s brain, killing him. Or it would have, if the illusion hadn’t stopped.

| Stop the Match! Lykos' face turned a little less pounded in and all wounds were healed. Leo is the winner!
Congratulations! | |
