Round 3: Leo Herman vs. Mason 'Magic' Stein

Magic looked around the castle that he now stood in with his opponent. It was old, and glass was pretty much made up a wall even though they were windows. Magic once again had a hook sword in his hand. It may be useful at any point in time in this battle. Mason decided to analyze the area. The high ceiling gave his opponent a slight advantage. If he could find out the frequency of the class he could easily shatter it if given the chance, that would cause some cuts for Angel boy, but nothing to kill him... It was either 19 or 18 hertz that messed up eye sighting... He tried to remember the corrected number for it may be useful later.

Blue eyes observed the surroundings in awe. It was beautiful. The paintings, stain glass windows...all of it. However, much to his sadness, he knew that most of it may be destroyed in the process of their fighting. The angel boy wasn't too keen on fighting Mason. So far, Leo had been lucky not to have fought anyone he knew, but his luck ran out when Mason won his round.

Leo had decided to stay close range with Mason, as he heard that the boy could make sound waves to hurt physical objects. So arrows would be out of the question. Hands pulled out his trust trench knives which had won him the last round. Ready to fight, they had to wait for the bell.

Magic hummed softly as he heard the bell ring. He didn't really want to fight Leo, but he had to, and he wanted to win the tournament so yeah.. he had too. The dark haired boy made his way over to the stained glass, and flicked it getting the frequency in his head, so he could either avoid it or, use it when ever he needed. He knew that Leo would be after him shortly so he stayed where he was.

Once the bell rung, Leo understood that Mason wasn't afraid to fight, and forced any good will he had toward his friend away and focused on the battle. His opponent was very strong, as Leo remembered from when he met him in the forest. He used wind or sound, right? So would he aim to shatter the window? The blonde didn't feel like being lacerated with glass shards. Better keep his distance. Docking an arrow, he focused on blessing it so it will hit his target, and cause more damage. Leo then let the arrow fly, and letting a hand rest on his knives.

Magic gave off a sigh as Leo pulled his bow string, he turned to face the angel boy, and opened his mouth. Magic let out a high frequency yell that was above human hearing, and slowed the arrow down, then watched as it fell to the floor just in front of him. After the arrow fell, Mason let out another yell this time it was loud and destructive, and the waves were heading straight for his opponent.

Blue eyes narrowed as the arrow slowed to a stop, and glanced up at Mason's mouth. It was open. Sound perhaps? No... There as no sound coming out. Once the arrow cluttered to the ground, Leo gripped his bow tightly and grew wings. The bright appendages quickly sent Leo into the air, all the way to the top of the cathedral like building. He had known what the boy had done in other battles, and expected the attack.

With a dangerous glare in his eyes, Leo held a hand out and sent a bright light, most likely blinding his opponent for a small amount of time, as Mason's eyes would need to adjust. Thinking fast, Leo dove forward toward the dark haired boy, having put away his bow and yanked out his trench knives. Remembering his training, the angel boy began a fury of swipes at Mason. Blue eyes keeping an eye on his opponent's mouth, which he decided, was highly dangerous.

When the bright light had appeared, Mason closed his eyes. Knowing this was something that Leo did in his last battle, Mason rolled out of the way just narrowly avoiding the knives. In response to being blinded he decided to blind his opponent as well. This was something that Mason never had to do before. Keeping his mouth open, Mason focused on changing the sound that came out of it to 19 hertz, which can cause seeing problems seeing how 19 hertz was the resonant frequency of the eye ball. Since the sound had such a low frequency the sound coming out, it couldn't be heard at all.

Leo's eyes began to blur, and an ache grew in the back of his eyes. Okay this had to be sound. Air couldn't do that. His ears would have popped if it was. Luckily for Leo, he could see the shapes and colors around him, and Mason couldn't escape Leo's fury of attacks. He flew in the direction he saw Mason rolling, and aimed just below the dark mass of Mason's hair. His exposed neck.

Magic could easily hear the sound of Leo's wings trying to get to him, he didn't need to look to know that he was still trying to attack. Once again the sound man rolled out of the way but seeing how Leo was close enough Mason let a foot fly to push Leo back away from him, and he brought it back quickly so Leo couldn't cut his leg. He quickly swept his feet around and stood up. After that he let out another scream to push Leo away from him. It didn't really matter to Mason if Leo was close or far, but Leo had a better chance if he was close so Mason wanted to keep him away.

The bright wings were caught by the blast of air, and pushed the angel a short distance away. Luckily for Leo, He understood aerodynamics, and having as little surface subjected to the wave was possible the better. So he found himself on the ground, Wings pulled up to form a sort of dome over his head. Once the wave passed over, Leo once again launched himself at Mason's form. Aiming to slice at whatever he could reach.

Mason rolled out of the way once again, but not with out damage. One of the knives had caught his arm near the shoulder. The cut had begun to bleed, but Magic didn't look phased, at all. The way he rolled caused him to be back on his feet. Remembering the time Barry told him about his speed reminding Mason he could use sound to increase his speed. Creating sound this time he rode a sound wave all the way to the other side of the room. After doing so he turned, and let out another yell, this time the sound was so loud it could cause physical pain. Around 165 Decibels, it would also hurt Leo's hearing but Mason was aiming to cause pain.

Once Mason made it to the other side of the room, Leo rubbed his eyes in frustration. In a sudden wave, his body cried out in pain. Cringing, Leo bent over to hold his stomach. He was confused for a moment, before remembering that different frequencies damage different things. At that moment, his vision began to slowly clear, and pushing some Holy Power to enhance his sight to normal vision. Leo held his hand out as if he was going to blind the boy again, but instead a spear of light, turned into a solid spear hurled toward the dark haired boy. It was silent. Leo wasn't exactly sure what he was doing with the light yellow energy, however he wanted to attack long range, and arrows didn't seem to work as he predicted at the beginning.

The loud sound soon ended when Mason saw the spear heading straight for him. His eyes widen, as he could no longer focus on the sound. Mason quickly moved out of the way. Kinda of stumbling as he tried to get away. He let out a growl getting mad at himself for being clumsy in his movements. He needed to be careful or else he will lose this. He soon noticed that his throat felt a little horse. He should probably create sound instead of using his own. He needed to create sound like the teacher taught, he had only used it passively though. Time for new things he guessed. Maybe he could use his new found speed for something. Why not try something. Magic sprinted back towards his opponent, well riding a sound wave, he drew his fist back and let it spring forward aiming for Leo's sound waves ready to add strength to his punch if it made contact.
