The Game [soccer event]

Jane sighed, a hand on her hip, as the ball was thrown back out to center. Despite the strong start, they were behind already. Oh well. This was her chance, wasn't it? They could cover the deficit.

The whistle blew, and she rushed forward, her cleats connecting with the ball in a spray of mud, rain, and grass.

It turned out she was a lot rustier than she remembered, and with a small flush, the ball went winding right toward an Orange player. She ran recklessly after it, panic coloring her face. Wait, wait, wait! That's not what I wanted!

OOC: I'll start half-time after the next goal.

Barry saw the blue girl kick the ball aimed straight towards him. He quickly stopped the ball and began kicking it towards center. Once he had made it near he went to kick it to one of his team mates on the other side. His leg lifted back for the kick and he released. He saw the ball succesfully reach his team mate. "Yes!" he said quietly.

D'angelo was thrilled to see the ball hit the net of the goal. He trotted happily back to his spot, high-fiving  Juliette when she came by. Awaiting for the ball to be out in play again. As soon as the game resumed, he watched as diamond girl was making her way to their goal. A smile came over his face as she had missed her kick. Thank god, he thought to himself. She was practically unstoppable.

The Autumn began to stretch as he was waiting again for the ball to be back in play. This time Jane was starting off with it. As soon as his dormmate fumbled the ball into one of his teammates, D'angelo darted off toward the opponent's side of the field. He had received the perfect pass from Barry. This time he would attack from the left side. Making his way from the center to the left side, alternating between his left and right foot kicking the ball. Once an opening opened up, he prepped his right leg as he did before. Kicking the ball as hard as he could in the direction of the goal.

A lash of electricity snapped through the air, knocking the ball out of the way of the goal and sending it rolling back toward the ground. Kayla ran for it, snakes of lightning rippling down her arms, but not fast enough, as another Orange player stole the ball.

Evelyn had immediately been lost in the storm.

She might as well have been a ghost, by the way everyone blew past her like she wasn't there. For that, she was glad. It'd been a mistake to sign up for this. The last thing she needed was everyone's eyes on her only for her to mess everything up.

Unfortunately, that couldn't last.

She was the only other Orange player on this side of the field, and her teammate was surrounded by enemies, eyes scanning for someone to pass to. Ohh, shit...

"O-over here!" she managed to shout.

It must have worked, because the ball went flying her way. She kneed it up in the air with a squeal of surprise, and clenching her eyes tight, slammed her foot into the ball as it came back down. Evelyn couldn't bear to look.

The ball flew over the goalie's shoulder and shot into the corner of the net. She opened her eyes as the whistle blew.

"That's half!" the ref announced.

Evelyn stood in place, dazed and confused. She blinked, staring into the goal, as both teams returned to the benches for halftime. "I... did it."

They were loosing but it was okay they still had another half too play. Standing up the captian quickly made her way too the field they'd be starting off with the ball? ASpen had quickly kicked it off towards the direction of her teammate by the goal.

Lykos took his chance and began dribbling the ball back into the blue team's side of the field. His red eyes spotted an opening to a offensive player. Reading his shot, Lykos passed the ball to his teammate. A smirk on his face as the pass was successful. One more goal, please. You can do it, Orange team~
