Hot Dogs are only 17% Actual Dog [Open]

Keirsta sat in the cafeteria, for the most part by herself. Leo was beside her, having just gotten his food. On Keirsta's tray, the assortment of food was... Interesting. A grape Fanta, the box of chocolates Leo got her for Valentines, and most strangely... An eggplant sandwich on white bread, with mayonaise and mustard. Beside that? Nacho cheese fries. It certainly was... interesting.

Shoveling a giant bite of sandwich into her mouth, the taste juicy and delightful, she sat it down when she saw Leo's strange look. "What? It's good." She said, proceeding to pop open the tin of chocolates and shoving one into her mouth, only to down it with some of the Fanta.

"That...really can't taste good. Can it?" He asked in a quiet voice, eyeing her plate with an uncertain eye. Eggplants weren't his favorite in general. Then with chocolate and grape Fanta? He could understand that she was eating for two, but still! When did eating a lot have to do with the kind of food she was eating. Then it hit him. Cravings.

The blond made a face and looked back down to his sandwich. Cafeteria food wasn't his favorite, but he turned to saving some money after learning about the pregnancy. Why did babies have to be so expensive?

Okay, if he was honest. Leo was rather curious about how it tasted. "Can I try a bite?" It can't be that bad, right?

Keirsta tilted her head towards Leo, a questioning look in her eyes. "It tastes rather nice, actually." She knew of his distaste for cafeteria food, so she held back a chuckle at the idea of the slimey purple plant she was eating. Taking another large bite, and downing it down once more with cheese fries and chocolate, she looked a bit bewildered at his quesiton.

Would he really want a bite of her sandwich? If he did, she wouldn't mind... "Sure, I'll give you a bite." Tearing off a small piece, she handed it to him, before shoving more food into her mouth.

Honestly, she was making a surprisingly small amount of mess for her style of eating.

He took the piece of sandwich and examined it. It looked utterly disgusting. His noise wrinkled and he cast a glance over at her. Her devouring another bite of the sandwich allowed him just enough courage to put the bite in his mouth. That was as far as it went. He reacted negatively to the taste and immediately went to spit it out. He brought the napkin from his lap to his lips and spat it out.

"This is terrible! How can you eat this?" He asked, shock evident in his face. The taste still lingered in his mouth, and he took a large swig of his water in an attempt to get rid of the taste.

Looking at Leo as he spat it out, Keirsta looked at her own plate of food again. She noticed the slimy look of the eggplant, but otherwise she couldn't exactly say that she saw anything wrong. Her nose didn't wrinkle in disgust, and she put down the sandwich to wipe her hands on her napkin. Her eyes traveled to the cheese fries, which had been rather untouched. At least those were somewhat normal, right? "I don't know, it tastes fine to me..."

Trying her best to shove aside the nagging crave for the rest of the sandwich, Keirsta grabbed a few of the fries to chow down on those. They didn't taste the same... They weren't as satisfying, and it made Keirsta frown slightly. Still, she took part of her napkin and covered the sandwich, hoping to remove the little eyesoar from the table.

Finishing off the fries and the Fanta, Keirsta had one more piece of chocolate before closing up the tin.

The blond placed his water back on the table, and glanced over in her direction. She looked slightly upset, or at least confused. The angel immediately felt bad, and reached over for the napkin that Keirsta had covered her sandwich with. He removed it from the top of the sandwich and gently picked it up. Holding out to her, he gave her a smile. "If it tastes fine to you, don't let me decide if you should eat it or not."

Saying it was terrible was rather insensitive of Leo, and he didn't know where it came from. Maybe it was the stress? He didn't want to go blaming it on other things, just accepting responsibility for his harsh words.
