Walk of Pride [Dorm 204]

The girl would have remained asleep if it wasn't for the fact that he had whispered in her ear. She had slept so well that she didn't move an inch all night. It wasn't good for her joints and stuff, but it was good that she slept well enough. With the kiss, and the words, Sophia began to stir. Her body shifting slightly, and her eyes opening for a moment before closing again. She let out a slight groan, not wanting to be awake right now. "Mmmm... Sleep more..." She muttered. She shifted in her spot, before cuddling down again. "World can wait.." She said before having her mouth fall open slightly as she attempt to go back to sleep, looking a bit cute in her position, and with her peaceful expression.

Even with his shifting on the bed, and the noises he created moving around the room, she remained still and trying to go back to sleep. Her face scrunched up slightly as he tapped her on her nose. That wasn't needed. With the mention of food one eye opened. "Food sounds nice..." She muttered. She didn't really want to get up and go deal with classes. She knew once she stood, she was going to stumble around for a few minutes due to the events that occurred last night. Even without moving she could tell that she was extremely sore already.

She rolled over to the edge of the bed and gave a groan of protest as she sat up. She didn't care if he saw her like this. For some reason people got embarrassed showing themselves off the morning after when the night before they didn't care. She didn't quite understand that. Maybe it was from the lack of arousal? She stood with another whine, as her muscles protested against her movements. She was shakily standing, but she was still standing. Slowly she moved over to her dresser, and put on her undergarments, then moved over to her closet and put on the rest of her clothes. She lacked her stockings and shoes, but the general outfit was there. All she had to do now was get to the bathroom, and take care of stuff, and cover up that mark on her neck. "Really don't wanna go.." She said.

Pepper lay in her bed, staring at the ceiling. The dorms had been awfully quiet recently and she wondered where everyone was. Come to think of it, she had heard some noises the night before, but for some reason shrugged it off. Maybe the teddy bear project was forcing her dorm mates to spend the night at their partner's dorms, but that was a pretty far off guess. Might as well make some breakfast. Getting up, the girl took her time changing her clothes and freshening up for the day. Not feeling like what she wore was a big deal, she threw on some skinny jean, a white tank top, and a pink flannel.

After putting her hair up in her usual ponytail, Pepper made her way to the kitchen. Eggs and bacon sound pretty good. She thought to herself, shuffling through the cupboards. For a few minutes, she worked humming a tune and soon enough, everything was ready. Scooping up some eggs from the pan and some bacon off the skillet, Pepper realized she'd made more than enough. Maybe someone would like some? Besides, who didn't like eggs and bacon? Setting her plate on the table next to a glass of orange juice, she wondered what to do. I don't want to wake anyone up... Maybe I could just peek in the doors. Making her way to Logan's room, she heard a thump. Did that come from Sophia's room? Pepper was never one for snooping, but curriosity killed the dragon.

Stepping lightly, she tiptoed to the girl's room and took a deep breath, half scared of what she might find. Sophia is a good person. She reassured herself, though in the end, Pepper's optimistic personality would get the best of her. She'd come this far, now she needed to know what or whom was on the other side of this door. "Hello?" She called out meekly, grasping the handle and subconsciously opening the door. Unfortunately, what Pepper stumbled across was not what she expected nor wanted to see.

"Cayden?"

Sophia was silently glad she was dressed when she heard Pepper's voice through the door. Sophia turned away from where her clothes were stored, and looked at the door to see a shocked Pepper at the door. Confusion course through Sophia, as to why the girl was shocked at the sight of Cayden. Running fingers through her hair, Sophia spoke up. "Oh hey. Do you two know each other?" She asked. She hoped that she just didn't ruin a relationship, but Cayden didn't seem like the kind of guy to be in one. So maybe she just stay silent and let things play out on their own. Her amber eyes looked between the other two who were in her room, waiting on someone to say something.

Sophia looked like somewhat beat her up. Did Cayden... really do that to her? How, why? When he said a nonchalant good morning, the world seemed to stop. Did he really not care that he made out with another girl? He may not have seen him and Pepper as a thing, but she did, she always had. And what pissed her off more than the bite marks was the fact that he didn't even seem to care, or at least tried to show that he cared. Thought, emotions, and memories raced around, making it hard for Pepper to think.

Who was she supposed to be mad at? Sophia was her dorm mate... she couldn't hold a grudge against the girl. But Cayden... Pepper always had her doubts but thought maybe, just maybe, she could trust a guy like him. Apparently, she was wrong. "Yeah, we know each other." She barley managed to mumble, looking down to the ground. Clenching her fist and trying not to break out in tears, she looked at Cayden. "Seriously? Why?" She asked. "You know my dorm is here, you could've at least slept with her at your dorm!" This whole situation infuriated the usually timid girl and she didn't care about being "nice" to him anymore. "I was just another one of your "girls" wasn't I?" Pepper couldn't hold back the tears anymore. "I had faith in you! And probably the only person who did!"

Well. This was awkward for the spring girl. She just stood there looking back and forth between the two unsure of what to say. She shifted in her spot slightly, straightening out her clothes. Should she answer Cayden's question or should she just let the two sort of argue it out? "Uhh.. yeah.. I'm almost ready.. just need to cover up this mark, and shoes.." She replied in a sort of plain tone. Her eyes glanced over to Pepper again, before the girl walked over to her one of her bags, and pulled out some make up, and began quickly covering up her mark on her neck.

This was very awkward for the disintegrator. Sophia was the one that brought Cayden over here.. So she was to blame for that. Well maybe Cayden could have stopped her and taken her to his dorm.. She guess coming over here proved that there was nothing going on, and what Cayden said was true. Sophia was just going to let things play out, and only step in if things got to bad..

Does he really feel that way? Pepper wondered, her gaze turning to the floor. Of course, the guy she fell for was a complete dick, just her luck. It wasn't necessarily that he slept with Sophia that infuriated her, but everything he said; it seemed pretty genuine. He was like an angler fish, luring girls in with his charms and then SNAP! He'd take a bite of their heart, forever keeping their love hostage in his cold grasp. Why hadn't she listened to Louis? "That guy is trouble, Pepper. I'd watch out if I were you." Her older brother always reminded her, especially before the formal, but instead, she made the idiotic choice to follow her heart. At least now she knew, never follow your heart, for all it leads to is anger and heartbreak.

Unfortunately for everyone in the room, Cayden had made his choice. "Are really that clueless?" Pepper said softly, most of the tears had past. "Desperate? I was never desperate, just thought that you were a nice guy. But apparently you're only a lowlife a douche just like everyone else. And honestly, desperate, is when you sleep with every girl on campus whom you manage to get your hands on." Pepper looked up from the ground and looked to Cayden in a provoking way. Part of her wanted to transform and smash him out a window, but knew with Sophia here, she might not get the chance. Sorry hun, but unlike you, I'm not a doorknob where everyone gets a turn. I'm more of a casino where only the lucky ones hit the jackpot. As much as she wanted to say it aloud, Pepper kept her mouth shut. "I thought I knew you, loved you even. Now you're just somebody that I used to know. But you didn't have to cut me off, make out like it never happened and that we were nothing, and I don't even need your love, but you treat me like a stranger and that feels so rough." It hurt her unlike anything else, but could she really live, constantly thinking about Cayden and what he thought about her? Maybe it was for the best, but no matter how much she tried to shake all her emotions away, how she felt about him would never change.

This. This is why she didn't get close to people. All of this, everything that was happening here, she had seen before, she experienced before. Being played like this. She felt bad for Pepper, seeing how the girl was going through something she did before, but at the same time Sophia didn't because she should have seen this coming. She continued with putting on the make-up until the mark was gone, hidden under layers of make-up that blended with her skin.

She stood straight again, giving a glance to Pepper not relaying any emotion. She grabbed her shoes, and sat down on the bed. Carefully putting on her stockings, and shoes as she listened in on the conversation. She didn't feel bad for listening seeing how this was happening in her room. Once everything was done, she checked her hair once more, and then checked where the mark was supposed to be. She was good to go. She stood from her messy bed, and folded her hands behind her back. "I'm ready, Cayden." She said. Her voice returning to it's normal tone like none of this ever happened. She would have to tell him she didn't mind getting together again, despite what just happened. She didn't care about what kind of a person someone was as long as they were cute or hot, and gave her a good time.

Wow, he really didn't get it. She even tried staying calm to not hurt hurt anyone, but no, he had to shove all the girl's feeling into a little box and throw it off a cliff. "You're not going anywhere." With a flash of light, Pepper transformed into her smaller form of the white dragon, standing waist height. The white beast jumped into front of the door; teeth bared, tail slashing. She hit a book shelf or two along the way, but books would live. Cayden on the other hand was out of luck.

Sophia allowed him to take her arm in his, without so much of a comment. She really wanted to get out of here, and she was just about to but then Pepper had to block their way. "Pepper please don't do this." She would rather not step into this small battle but she would if it meant not getting breakfast, and being late to class. She had already missed enough classes, and late to the rest she didn't need to be late anymore. She didn't want to be force to act in this situation.

The white dragon shot a warning glance at Sophia but shook her head. Her dorm mate wasn't the problem, Cayden was. Did he just wave her to step aside? "Clueless." She growled, crouching low to the ground. Clawing the ground, she breathed a small puff of fire, readying herself. If she had to burn down there dorm to knock some sense into him, so be it. Jumping onto the desk chair, Pepper leaped onto Cayden, tackling him to the ground. The dragon snapped viciously at the boy's neck. It may have been a bit extreme, but he could handle it.

Sophia clenched her teeth together tightly. Pepper was overreacting. There was no need to kill the boy because she ended up in a trap. It was her own damn fault for falling into it. She had to step in, if she didn't the dorm would end up destroyed, and she would end up with a mess to clean up. Maybe even dead boy on the floor. "Pepper! Stop acting like a childish fool! You stepped into this trap on your own damn terms. You set yourself up for this! You have no one to blame but yourself! Now stop acting like a toddler throwing a tantrum, and get off the boy so we can go to our classes, and if you don't and end up killing him, you can bet your ass you will end up a pile of dust on my floor, and I will be the only one left in this dorm." Sophia said. It was a bluff. Well the disintegration part, she probably wouldn't be able to kill anyone.. at least a student. Maybe a bad guy who attacked her, sure.

Of course Sophia would protest. Stepped in a trap? Seriously? Her dorm mate was trying to act all wise and cool, but did Sophia ever think about what she would feel like if she was in Pepper's shoes? Pepper didn't care if she'd be a pile of dust of the floor. All that mattered was teaching Cayden a lesson. Focusing back to the guy she was attacking, her head was soon hit with a ball of light and slammed into the wall next to them. Giving a roar, the dragon shook her head, attempting to regain her thoughts. Her head throbbed and for what seemed like the longest time, the world spun. Get up, get up! Her thoughts screamed, but her head being slammed into the wall hurt more than expected.

Why was she having to deal with this? She had been here before. Well she had dealt with what Pepper dealt with before, but she acting more like an adult than the dragon girl did. "Quit it!" She shouted at the both of them. "You two are going to destroy the dorm at this rate, and it's going to be me cleaning it up because you are going to land each other in the infirmary!"

Sophia didn't know how else to deal with the dragon so she pointedly stepped in the way of the two standing in front of Cayden with a look of a challenge on her face. Her amber eyes held a spark of anger in them. "Getting mad at him, and attacking him won't fix the feelings you are feeling at this moment. It won't make you feel better. You aren't going to gain anything from this aside from getting kicked out of the school." Believe me getting mad and lashing out doesn't fix anything She thought in her mind. She already hinted enough that she went through pain. "And if you keep this up then you are going to have to fight me, because he is my guest, and a good host takes care of her guests." She said keeping the challenging look on her face. One touch from Sophia, and Pepper was as good as gone.

Giving her head a shake, the white dragon gave the two a menacing look and turned back human. Siting down, she rested her head against the wall. Cayden could always pack a punch, and for some reason, it made her feel a bit better.

"God, no need to yell your guts out." Pepper said flatly, looking from Sophia to her lap. "Have fun at breakfast." It was a weird statement after what happened, but honestly, there wasn't much more to say. She would've loved to fight more, though unfortunately, Sophia was right; the dorm wasn't the best place to fight.
