They were airdropped into the middle of the jungle, somewhere around the border between Peru and Bolivia, also somewhat close to Brazil. Adam and Cameron were the first to leap. They pulled the string on their parachutes and slowly floated down, both of them silent the entire way down. They couldn't see if the others had jumped out, so they didn't bother looking up. Once they touched down on one of the larger treetops, they began the slow climb down. It was a little easier for Adam since he had been climbing trees since he was younger. There was a large branch on the way down and they decided to stop and rest there to wait for the rest of their group.
"Well, that certainly was a climb," Adam said, breathing slightly heavily. "And we're not even close to the ground." Despite the hot humid air Adam was in bright spirits. At least this mission wouldn't be anything violent. At least he hoped it wouldn't be.
Cameron was as grim as ever. His red eyes were silently glowering with an undying rage. It was a side effect of his gift. The red eyed boy merely rolled his eyes at Adam's comment. Adam was about to say something else when he heard a ruffle as more people came clambering down the trees. Finally, the rest of the group had caught up. "Nice of you to show up." Cameron mumbled, still loud enough to be heard.
