Falling Asleep {Open}

His mind seemed to be out to get him, Leo assumed. His blue eyes lowered on his math homework. The text book was to the side and the lined paper numbered down the line, waiting for the answer to be written down. Which was most likely not going to be the case. The blond had been having a hard time sleeping the past few weeks, and it seemed it was just catching up with him at that moment. Leo propped up his head in his hand, elbow resting on the edge of the desk. Slowly his eyelids closed, pencil slipping from his other hand and fell to the table in with a clatter.

The noise was just enough to make him open his eyes again. Drearily, he stared at the offending pencil, as if he was challenging it to make a noise again. After a good few minutes of staring, his head bobbed and eyes closed once more. His mouth was parted slightly and a soft snore made it's way out of his mouth.

Quietly opening the library door, Freya walked in with a few books that she managed to breeze through. Me Before You, Germinal, and Never Look Back. Dropping them into the book return, she made her way to the Fiction section in search of more depressing books to occupy her time with. Well, it wasn't that she looked for sad books, but it just kind of ended up that way and some might say that she enjoyed reading them. Running her hand over the binds of books, and making a soft thumping sound, she walked down and isle, looking for nothing in particular.

Before the girl could look any farther a snort from a little distance away caught her attention. Was that a snore? Peeking her head out from behind a shelf, she spotted a blonde haired boy asleep at a table. Leo? Walking silently over to the table, she looked down at the sleeping student. I can't wake him... Could she?

Before Freya could ever wake him up, Leo's head slipped from his hand. With a thud, his forehead his the table and his hand fell across the table. Despite what might have hurt, the angel was still out cold. Another light snore came out. It seemed that he would not be getting any homework done this day. His nap would most likely put that off. Unless he woke up. Yet, for now, he snored away, slowly catching up on his lack of sleep. Admittedly at the worst time.

Freya looked at the boy as his head slammed against the desk and couldn't help but give a small huff of amusement. She never would've guessed that someone could stay asleep so long. Walking over to a book shelf, she grabbed The Year of Magical Thinking and sat down at the table across from Leo. It seemed like a devastating book, based on the prologue and soon, Freya was lost into the world of words.

This was like his safe haven. The white-haired boy was still wrapped up from the injuries he had received after having been kidnapped back in Greece, but he had found a way to ignore the bruises and cuts that decorated his body. He wanted to get up and do things now that he was free from Greece and free from all of the things that kept him there. He felt horribly guilty for leaving, but the Sophia girl had told him that his father let him go. He wasn't inside to hear the conversation, so he didn't know how to take that. It didn't matter. He was here. With almost no expression on his face, Dimitris walked through the aisles and aisles of books, trying to find anything that he could read. He hated knowing such little English, and he hoped that there would be something in here that could be considered an easy read, but so far, he had no such luck.

With a quiet sigh that led into a yawn, he continued strolling around, staring intently at the titles on the spines of the books that surrounded him until he felt his hip sharply meet the corner of a table that two others were conveniently sitting at. "och óti kakó..." he muttered as he stepped away from the table, looking up to see Leo and Freya. Dimitris wasn't too worried about the boy who seemed dead to the world, but his eyes locked onto Freya with a panicked and apologetic look. "Lypámai! Ah, I sorry!" he exclaimed, his gaze shooting to the floor and he threw his hands in front of him almost defensively.

Freya read her book in silence, the soft snoring of Leo barely audible in the background. It was one of those books that started off extremely slow, but around chapter three it started to get more interesting. A death here, a death there, nothing she hadn't seen before. Letting out a sigh, she kept reading for who knows how long and would've kept reading if someone hadn't interrupted her train of thought. Hearing a soft thud and someone mumbled something, the girl's eyes averted from the page she was on to see a white haired boy standing by the table.

"Uh, no worries?" She replied in her usual flat tone, curious as to what he was apologizing about. He seemed pretty freaked out, but she didn't do anything yet and was even more curious. This guy seemed to speak a different language, so maybe that was the reason. Closing her book, her eyes didn't leave the boy. "So, are you new to Beata?" The blonde asked. She usually hated talking to guys, but something about him kind of intrigued her.

The blond's snores faded to a stop, and the blond slowly raised his head. In his blurry sight, he was able to identify the girl in front of him. "Hey Freya..." He greeted slowly, a yawn interrupting his sentence. "How are you feeling?" Leo finished, letting his head rest on his arm. The angel took a glance to the side, noticing another boy standing there. Who was this guy again? He'd seen him around before. "Chris, right?" He guessed, bringing a hand up to rub an eye.

When the boy sitting at the table opened his eyes from his small nap, Dimitris glanced between the two of them frantically. He didn't mean to interrupt them. Oh no, what if they got mad? He didn't want to ruin their time. It didn't take too long before both of them looked back at him, asking him questions and talking to him in English. He didn't know enough... He had no idea what Freya said first, only figuring out that it was some kind of question with the word "no." When she continued and asked him about Beata, he stopped to try to decipher what exactly she said. Before he could, though, the boy looked at him and asked him what he guessed was his name. Chris? He had no idea who that was. "Um... No," he replied quietly, completely forgetting about the throbbing pain in his hip. "Me, ah... name is Dimitris."

"I'm doing good," she replied softly to Leo, who finally showed signs of life. Chris? Freya couldn't recall knowing a guy named Chris, but she thought she remember Maria talking about chopping a guy's arm off, this could be the guy though."Well, nice you meet you Dimitris," the blonde said, motioning towards a chair for the boy to sit down at. Part of her wanted to be left alone so she could read, but there was no turning back now. From personal experience, guys never just simply left unless you threatened them, but these guys seemed nice, so she'd try to be nice, for now at least.

A frown crossed the sleepy blond's face. It wasn't Chris? Maybe he got the name wrong. "Oh, I'm sorry." Leo gave him a lopsided apologetic smile. The exhaustion pulling him into sleep. "I'm Leo, and I'm not normally like this, but..." He trailed off, feeling his eyelids droop again. "I've been having a hard time sleeping, and my body decided to catch up at the worst time." The blond explained, bringing a hand up to rub his eye. At this rate, there was no way his math homework was getting done.

Dimitris's eyes shifted quickly between the two of them after he looked back up all while still trying to avoid their stares. "Um.. Nice to meet... you too," he stammered, thinking way too hard about the language he was having to use. He finally straightened his posture, looking at both of them before taking a couple of steps backwards. It sounded like they wanted to keep him in the conversation but he felt like he was just being a nuisance. When Leo began to speak to him, the boy's eyes quickly turned to him, feeling bad that the boy couldn't sleep. At least, that's what he heard. He hoped it was right. "I'm sorry," he muttered apologetically.

Freya half rolled her eyes as Leo started to fall asleep again. Did guys ever have any manners? There was a new kid coming to say hello, and all Leo could do was snooze. Without warning, the Winter slammed her fist on the table in hopes of waking him up. "No need to apologize, if anything, he should be apologizing," she said flatly, looking at Leo.

Leo tilted his had at the other student. "You've got no reason to be sor-" He responded quietly, before the blond was cut off by Freya's fist slamming against the table. With a jolt, his eyes went wide, and he careened backwards. Unbalanced, the chair's back hit the floor with a crash. Along with it was Leo who hit the floor with a resounding thud. It was a few moments before the two heard from the fallen student. "Sorry?" He offered in a weak voice. His head spun, but the former Autumn prefect stood from the chair, and gently picked up the object. With a rub to where he hit his head, Leo sat back down, avoiding Freya's eyes.

Instinctively, Dimitris flinched at the sound of Freya's fist slamming down on the table. She was an interesting character to say the least. She looked a little terrifying too. It didn't help that all the boy could do is watch as Leo fell backwards onto the ground and fell silent for a moment or two before finally getting back up. Both of them had told him not to be sorry, but he couldn't help but feel that way. The initiate looked at Leo, hesitating for a moment to say anything but it turned into his mind trying to form the words. "Are you okay?" he asked, making sure it was correct.

She didn't mean to scare anyone by slamming her fist on the table, but at least it woke him up. Freya watched as Leo's chair tipped over and fell to the ground, not amused. Again with the apologizing. It wasn't that saying sorry was necessarily a bad thing, but everyone apologized for simple things, and she didn't understand why. "Apology excepted," the Winter said flatly, not the best when it came to her people skills. "Of course he's okay, it's not like he fell off a roof." Noticing that the former prefect was averting his eyes from her's, it made her somewhat... happy. Causing people to "fear" her, an odd way to be happy, but it worked for her.
