He yawned quietly as he sat there on the rooftop, thinking about his time at Beata. It was incredibly boring, he hadn't done much, nor had he made any friends, unless he counted the couple interactions he had with random people. The closest person he had to a friend was Jayden, but he hadn't seen the older boy since he had arrived. He dug his smartphone out of his pocket and began scrolling though different news stories, seeing if anything interesting had happened in the outside world. As usual, nothing interesting was happening. He put his phone away and fiddled with his speaking machine. He hadn't found a way to change the creepy voice that was on it. He sighed silently and set the Spell n' Speak down. His parents haven't returned his calls or texts, although that wasn't unusual. He rolled his eyes at the thought of parents actually responding to him. That'd be the day. He had basically been raised by the nannies that his parents had hired. Casey didn't know if he had ever seen any sort of warmth or affection from either of his parents, but at least the nannies cared about him. Or, at least, made it seem like they cared.
