Death by a Giant Dragon [drugged/open kinda]

Nothing felt normal.

Running to the football field, tears streaming from her eyes, Pepper's headache made her feel like her brains were about to explode and being around other students made her want to kill herself. Half stumbling, half falling onto a bench on the sidelines she gasped for air, but there was nothing she could do. Someone was telling her to do something or giving her some sort of order and that was when all Hell broke loose. Transforming in her largest dragon form, Pepper couldn't control anything. Power surged through her veins and for some reason it a feeling like never before.

This was it.

Her human conscious faded into the abyss and the only thing she heard was "Order 66." Taking a step back, the dragon's tail smashed through a section of the stadium, sending pieces of cement and metal flying left and right.

Peter's textbooks spilled out of his arms and tumbled to the hardwood flooring, the resounding slap of the paperback covers echoing throughout the library. What..?

Under no scrutiny, the situation out on the football field would have looked like a spar - Nothing malicious, nothing out of line for an academy populated by gifted students who couldn't control their abilities. But Peter, with acute, synthetic eyes, could see the terror welling up in Roi's gaze as he cowered beneath a force field. This wasn't some sort of game. It was an attack.

Though he tried his best to stay out of conflict, Peter couldn't stand idly by and spectate as a dragon unleashed its wrath upon an innocent child. Peter tore his glasses off of his face and tossed them aside. He had to stop this before it escalated any further. Crouching, the Spring summoned all of the dormant electric force in his limbs forth. He could feel the spots where the steel connected to his torso buzz and hum with the rising current of energy. Once it began to burn, reaching its maximum, he looked own a the polished floorboards for a heartbeat, drawing a deep breath in. Then, he sprang forward, shattering the glass of the library windows into a million pieces. Fiery energy exploded behind him as the thrusters attached to his legs came alive, propelling him high over the dragon's head. He circled around the beast, the wind battering him harshly in the face, and then he flew downwards, towards the boy trapped in the barrier. Peter landed roughly on a large slab of cement next to Roi.

"Enough!" he shouted up at Pepper. Raising his hands without hesitation, he blasted a column of energy out of his palms, hoping to fend her off.

Part of covering the student in rubble wasn't intentional, but when she heard the yells for help, her head snapped around and her eyes locked on the boy that was half hidden bellow cement. His fear scent gave the dragon a rush of adrenaline and taking a step forward, a low rumble emitted from her throat. Kill, kill. Before she was able to do anything, another student stepped in front of her and yelled something, shooting a beam of some sort of light towards her. Being at max power, the beam of electricity merely tickled and what ever this student hoped to achieved was nothing more than a dream that needed to be crushed.

Not wasting any energy with the boy who got in her way, she lifted a claw and swung it at him as if he was nothing more than a bug and smacked him to the side. If anything he'd get the wind knocked out of him, maybe even a little whiplash, but she'd deal with that pest later. Focusing back to the task at hand, the beast let out a roar and took another step forward. Kill. Kill. Lifting one of her ginormous front legs, she lifted it above the pile of rubble and their gazes met. Die. Placing her foot down with a tremendous force that shook the earth, she crushed the pile of cement into even more little pieces. The sound of cracking bones and the metallic scent of blood was satisfying and the first part of her job was done.

Turning to the direction in which she'd hit the other kid, she scanned the area for her next target. Kill. Kill.

Much to Peter's dismay and horror, what was normally his last resort for attack had been nothing more than a flea bite to Pepper. She turned her gaze down on the Spring and unleashed a guttural sound of annoyance. Peter's eyes widened and he poised himself to launch up into the sky again, but Pepper's enormous hand crashed into him before he could move an inch. Instantaneously, Peter went flying off to the side, barely managing to cover his head before he hit the grass. Earth and vegetation exploded into the air as he skidded across the field, a little way off of where Yuki had sank down to her knees in distress.

With one final, painful roll, Peter's movement ceased. He turned onto his back and couldn't hold back a bout of wheezing coughs, the air having been completely knocked out'of him. For a moment he lay there, clawing at his throat and struggling to breathe, before finally, some air managed to enter his lungs. Breathing raggedly, Peter pushed his torso upwards with his elbows, settling bleary eyes first on Pepper, and then on Yuki, and then on what Yuki was staring at.

The boy was dead.

O bozhe.. Net.. A toxic pool of dread welled up inside his stomach. He was dead, just like that. Pepper had crushed him, and he was gone.

Now was not the time to grieve, though. The academy was in danger, and more urgently, this girl was in danger. Shaking his head rigorously to rid himself of the daze that had overtaken him at the sight of the boy's mangled remains, Peter pulled himself back onto his feet, grimacing at a sharp, jutting pain in his ribs. Obviously something was not right down there, but he couldn't afford to assess the extent of his injuries at the moment. Clutching the sore spot with one hand, which was still steaming from the attack he'd dealt, Peter called hoarsely over to Yuki, "Run! Get away from here!"

Walking towards the boy she's hit to the side, there was no stopping the dragon. She was well aware of the girl that was making obnoxious crying and whimpering sounds, but once the beast was locked on a target, there was no stopping until she achieved her goal; kill. Now only a few yards away from the student, she opened her mouth. The sound of a crackling fire came from her throat and like an oven needed to heat up before it could cook anything, she needed a few seconds to get the deadly fire ready.

The person in front of her yelled something to the other student but she didn't care. Finally ready, she lifted her head and blew a gust of fire towards the student. The flames burnt the earth to a crisp and standing still, she waited for the smoke to lift, hopefully revaling the motionless, singed body of the student.
