Round 3: Walker / O'Brien vs. Mallon / Bryson

His eyes opened wide as Mikaela came rushing forward, her gift manifesting. A large wave shook him to the very core, nearly knocking him over. It wasn't until the earth shook beneath him that he lost his balance and fell down, letting go of Eliza in the process.

Despite the amount of time he had to prepare for Caine's next attack, Ben found himself too distracted to even notice the knife, let alone it's trajectory. He only just realised what was going on behind him when the sharp knife flew past his face, slicing his ear slightly and opening his cheek.

He felt his heart stop from shock. He was frozen.

Eliza could feel the ground shaking beneath her. What exactly was causing that? She could only assume it was the other girl on the enemy team. Dull green eyes flicked around like they were scanning for something, but there didn't latch onto anything specific. There was too much going on... She couldn't protect Ben through all of this.

She quickly turned her attention to Caine. She could sense the massive shape coming towards her. She wanted to side step and avoid him, but due to the vibrations her footing messed up and she ended up taking some of Caine's blow going to the ground anyway. The ground scrapping at her, and tearing her clothes somewhat, but she quickly got back up and returned to Ben's side. She couldn't leave him for long, or else he wouldn't have a way to protect himself. The girl stood protectively near Ben, laying a light touch on his arm, letting him known she was there again.

Using her gift she decided this time she would make the ground shift, warping the ground to make it go from a steady surface to something with dips. Make it unsteady for them.

Mikaela watched as the ground seemingly warped itself around the arena. This would be an issue. She stomped once more, causing the ground to shake again. She needed to separate the boy from the pink-haired girl. There was something between them that required her to remain in contact with the boy. But how could she do that without getting too close? That was the question. Maybe Caine would think of something.

As Eliza approached him, pressing her hand against his arm, he shook himself out of his momentary daze. Without much thought in his next attack, he copied Eliza and began to move the flaming rubble around the arena. Instead of a surefire direction, the crumbled building pieces rose into the air and shot out like bullets in every direction, with Ben and Eliza as the center.

Caine and Mikaela were one shot by God Ben because icee was the only one to post this round ;;
