You know what? Sexy pool time

It was pretty late in the afternoon when Richard had decided that instead of sitting around being constantly bored, he was going to do something productive. For once in his life, he actually got the motivation to go to the gym only to be amazed by everything inside of it. It had a track, basketball courts, everything! Even a pool! Yep, Richard was going to swim. He wasn't exactly an athlete by any standards, but he always enjoyed the water and thought it would be a good idea. Within just a few minutes, the blond was in and out of the locker room, completely changed into just a pair of swimming trunks. There didn't seem to be anyone there but him, but it didn't really matter much. This was a complete change of pace. Usually he would just go to the library instead of thinking to exercise. It was good to have one constant in this. As soon as he was changed, Richard quickly jumped into the water, almost chilled by how cold it was... Well, at least until he got used to it. But was the water always this cold?

It didn't matter. After a few laps from one side to the other, Richard was already worn out. Everything seemed to ache in his body: arms, legs, stomach. He was really out of shape. He quickly grabbed onto the ledge of the pool trying to catch his breath when suddenly he heard the door to the gym open with a squeak. Who could that be? He wondered, but he didn't particularly care. If they wanted to join him, so be it.

Vera was bored of sitting around, the warm air felt nice on her skin and she enjoyed how everyone spent their spare time out in the courtyard. But she needed a change of pace, something different than her everyday activities. Stretching slightly, the girl walked slowly into the gym area. A towel wrapped around her arm and her hair tied up out of her face. It was obvious where she was heading, the girl thought it would be fun to atleast get her feet wet for a little while. Verona hadn't been to a pool in the longest time, so when it came to the everyday courtyard or the pool Vera chose the later.

Pulling open the metal doors, Vera flip-flop-stomped her way over to an empty chair and plopped her towel down and flung off her shoes. Not even showing a sign of reluctance while she pulled off her cover up and folded it next to her towl, that was until she noticed him. Yikes, Richard. Yep, she remembered him and how she had fawned over him so foolishly in the courtyard. Of course now her feelings for him were gon and now when she looked at him she felt a bit embarrassed. Which explained the flustered look on her cheeks as she slid into the pool. "Hi there," Verona said in the friendliest tone she could muster while rubbing her arms in attempt to warm up in the slightly chilly waters.

When Vera walked in, Richard simply gave her a small smile. He didn't really feel very awkward about things, but that fact that it was just them two now in the gym... in the pool alone was a little strange. Not like he was going to pull anything, but hey. He's a seventeen year old guy with needs /shot. No, instead he just greeted her with a wave as his other hand stayed gripping the ledge of the pool. "Hey there!" He replied, trying to keep his cool. He was never good in these situations, especially since he wasn't exactly what you would call sociable in this school. But he had met Vera some time ago and felt that they could actually be friends. That would be nice. Just to have a friend. "What are you doing here?" He asked her casually, not meaning any offence at all in his question.

Vera found herself rethinking her choice of swimsuit. She should've worn a one piece, but hey- when you got it flaunt it c;~ It was just that, the Autumn girl found herself remembering that embarrassing little situation I'm the courtyard. She had been absolutely ridiculous, throughing herself at him like that. Ugh, where had her class been? Whatever, what had happened, happened and there was no way she could change that. But she could change how she acted around him now and somehow wearing a bikini around this boy didn't seem appropriate. Not that Vera would let him know that, no Verona kept her cool returning his smile and running her hands across her goosebump riden arms.
"I'm thinking for the same reason you are," Verona teased with a laugh, trying to mask the awkward situation with some light hearted joke. "To swim." The girl laughed slightly as she inspected a hang nail on her thumb. Well, this was more awkward than she had hoped and the girl started to float around lazily.

Immediately, Richard had begun to regret asking that. The answer was so obvious, yet he had asked it anyway. He was so weird. After calming down from his cheeks turning pink, he simply began to float as he looked up at her and laughed a little awkwardly. "Well, yeah, haha. I just didn't know if this was a normal thing for you or not," he responded, hopefully able to save his own butt. It wasn't really like the question he asked was that stupid, it was just he didn't want her to think he was stupid or foolish. He hadn't really thought back to what had happened in the courtyard, but subconsciously, he still wanted to impress her, and that question was a bad start. Well, at least she still laughed! That was a start. But yeah. Still awkward.
