Fly, Book, Fly

A tall, dark-haired boy stood in front of a bookshelf, lined with books. Most of them were dusty and old, not recently touched by anyone, not even facility workers. Then there were newer ones. His dark green eyes stared at a black covered book, dusty with age. On the spine, in sharp golden letters, was carved the word, Telekinesis and it's Mechanisms. He narrowed his eyes, brow furrowing in concentration. He inhaled, then exhaled raggedly. Shutting his eyes, he emptied his mind to blackness. He pictured the book, the shelf, himself, the library. He pictured the book levitating slowly into the air, and then settling itself into his now open palms. He opened his eye a centimeter, and saw the book floating in the air. He tried to pull it towards him, but it dropped to the floor. With a grunt, he bent down and picked it up. He walked over to a table and sat.

Sitting at the table next to the other student, was a brown haired, and grey eyed boy, his eyes glued to a scroll. Shin, mastered each summoning one by one, and he was still on the carrier pidgin. If they all take this long, I am going to be dead before I actually finish all of them! He thought with a sigh. Taking his eyes off the scroll, the student looked in front of him. Judging by the book, he wasn't a summoner like Shin. Of course he isn't! Shin scolded himself. Your power is handed down in your family, and another handful of families. It wasn't likely this guy was. Narrowing his eyes he could just make out a word. Telepathy Scratching his head he muttered to himself "Figures."

Suddenly dark green eyes snapped up and stared at Shin.
"What?!"
He said in a furious voice, staring at him with cold eyes.

Shin blinked with confusion, one eye brow raised,another one lowered. Who was this kid talking to? Oh, me. What is with those cold eyes? Something must be wrong with the guy is he just gave a random stranger a cold look. "Huh?" He asked, playing it cool. Given the circumstance, that may not have been a good move in a school full of who knows what. Glancing back down at his scroll, he looked at the next two lines on the paper, not realy paying much attention to it though.
