Grace couldn't believe it. She'd gotten a point. 15-Love. That was very, very lucky. She looked over to where the audience was, where Kayla was standing, and gave a nervous smile before taking the ball again. Second serve. The ball came off the racket with a 'thwack', and it was on again.

Grace was up 30-Love. How was that possible? It seemed like she could only try to understand it for a moment before they were serving again, and this time she was not so lucky. Her opponent placed a ball perfectly, and Grace was way too exhausted to get anywhere close, swinging weakly at air. She was panting hard now, face flushed with exhaustion and a tinge of embarrassment.

Keirsta watched the girl in front of her look like she was about to pass out from a heat stroke. Or, was it just how she saw it? Watching the girl weakly try to throw the ball to her, and watching it hit the net, a slight frown came upon Keirsta's face as she couldn't help but start to get a little worried.

Grace's mind was clouded with exhaustion, and even her nervousness was taking a backseat. Now she was more focused on playing the game, and trying to keep herself from collapsing.

OoC: Damn, the shrekening. Isn't this exciting?

IC: It wasn't long until her exhaustion had caught up with her, though. It didn't take long for another serve from her opponent to end up slipping by her, and just as quickly as she had gone ahead, the game was tied 30-30. She wiped the sweat off her forehead with the back of her free hand, gripping the racket tighter with the other.

Keirsta looked worriedly at the other girl, her gaze softening and almost pity-ish. No matter, the game had to go on. Getting the ball to serve, she looked at her opponent before tossing the ball up in the air and hitting it across the court to the other young student.

IC: Another serve, another miss. Grace's earlier successes seemed distant now, as she looked positively pitiful gasping up and down the court. It took all of her strength to just hit it over the net without a return serve.
