Sunning by the Pool [OPEN TO EVERYONE THAT EVER LIVED]

He hadn't expected the water to be so chilly when he had hit it, feeling the wave of water chill him to the bone, the weight of Lotte making him sink a little deeper. The young man had to let go up her so he wouldn't drag her down, quickly swimming back to the surface and wiping the water out of his eyes, "Shit -" He grinned, his golden gaze finding her, "Why didn't you tell me it was this cold?"

Even curled up a few feet away, Alicia thought that was pretty funny, smiling quietly to herself.

"Why didn't you tell me you were going to do that?" asked Lotte, an obviously fake glint of anger in her voice, taken over by a glint of amusement. "Besides. Didn't you test it earlier?"
Not waiting for an answer, the girl started to float on her back in the water, breathing a little irrational in case she suddenly sank. She hadn't swam in a while, and didn't trust herself with such a task as staying afloat yet. She hoped Ethel wouldn't force her under or anything, and the ghost didn't do anything of the sorts. That would be going too far, even though the two commonly played pranks on each other.

Jace grinned and brushed a few stray strands of blonde out of his eyes, pretending to look just as cross, "Are you saying you would've let me?" The young man didn't bother to answer as he watched her quietly start to float on her back; though noticed how tense she was. Did she even know how to swim? He silently took a deep breath and dived down, swimming under the girl and reappearing quietly on her other side. "Hey, I've got an idea~." He said, leaning down close to her - hoping that he'd startle her, really.

Lotte quickly thrashed, letting her body go under the water and standing up once more. "W-what?" asked the girl, wading a little to assist with her standing. As mentioned earlier, she wasn't much taller than the pool's height, and standing on her toes all the time was a pain. Lotte had learned not to trust his schemes all too much, since the last time she let her guard down he scooped her up and threw her in a pool. Nevertheless, she supposed Jace was the only one she would let do something like that.
