Alcatraz Abnormalities [Mission]

Chris smacked himself on the forehead. How could they have gone this long without introducing themselves. He smiled, "I'm Chris." Right then his stomach started to grumble. They'd be going down for the continental breakfast very soon, then they'd head out to Alcatraz. Hopefully it wouldn't be too crowded, or maybe they'd find someway to close it off. Maybe if the boat that took visitors to the island were to "happen" to be tampered with, nobody could get out there. But that was something they could figure out when they needed to.

Renji followed Chris and the other guy to breakfast, still half asleep. Letting out a yawn, he looked at the piece of paper that the mute guy scribbled on. "Renji," he replied, followed by a yawn. The continental breakfast smelt amazing and he couldn't wait to eat.

It was a little silly that they had gone as long as they had without introducing themselves, but it was nice to get to know the names of his team members. The one with longer hair didn't seem that interested or awake, but hopefully that would change. They needed energy to do this kind of thing. 'It's nice to meet you both!' Bastien wrote, sincerely glad to meet both of them. This was going to be fun.

Bastien wasn't thinking too much about the mission but more about the food. There was a lot he could choose from and it all smelled so good! Grabbing a plate he started with some fruit, he loved fruit! After the fruit there wasn't much room for anything else so he added on some hasbrowns and took a seat to dig into the delicious food.

Chris himself wasn't really a breakfast person, so he grabbed some Fruit Loops and an apple. He sat down at the nearest empty and clean table and began munching on his food. They were going to have a long day ahead of them, so they'd need their strength. There was a T.V. on the wall directly in front of Iceman, so he decided to see what was new in San Francisco. The headline that appeared first was "Strange Activities on Alcatraz Island Confuse Authorities." The trio needed to act fast if they were going to stop the group of rogue gifted and keep the entire gifted community a secret.

Renji followed Chris and grabbed a bagel and an apple, sitting down at the small table. The student watched the T.V. while eating and soon, his belly was as full as it needed to be. "Let's get going, shall we?" He said, drinking from a foam cup of apple juice. Renji was eager to get started and sitting around eating was making him more anxious.

Breakfast was a nice meal, but Bastien personally preferred lunch. There was so much one could eat for lunch, though there was also a lot one could eat for dinner. Personally he loved bread, though it was extremely hard to come across a really good kind. Sandwiches were absolutely delicious, especially with piled high vegetables. Chowing down quietly he scanned the other people in the hotel, kind of watching to see what they were like. There was a small family with two little girls nearby. Behind them was an elderly couple sipping their drinks and having a quiet conversation. It was so fun to watch people.

Bastien almost didn't notice the news playing in the background and was only drawn to it when Renji said they should get going. There were a couple of pieces of fruit left on his plate but he decided he could bring them with. Nodding he grabbed the fruit and stood, adding in a good stretch to pop his back and his shoulders, noticing the news on the TV as he did so. Popping a piece of cantaloupe into his mouth as they left he walked slowly, taking in some of the news before they completely left the room to get going.

Chris nodded and stood up, shoving the last bite of cereal in his mouth. He led the other two out of the hotel. They weren't too far from where they needed to go. He pointed in the direction where they needed to go. "That's where we're headed. We can walk from here." he told them. It was a short walk, and they took a boat out to the island. The boat had been provided by the school, and before they left Chris made sure to sabotage the rest of the boats using his powers. When they made it to the island, they climbed off the boat. "Well, here we are."

Following Chris to their destination, he was surprised by how close it was. The boat ride was nice, and soon enough they made it to the island. "That was a pretty short ride, I guess we should get started then?" Renji said with a smile, ready to get started. This was his first mission after all, and he was going to make the best of it.

Bast was also very surprised that they were so close to the island. He did enjoy a good walk though and loved seeing the sights and sounds. It was nice to take a look around while they were on their way and Bast made note of some interesting places they could stop after the mission was done and they had some time to themselves. At least, places he wanted to stop. He followed along happily, not really watching where he was going but sticking close to the other two to make sure he didn't lose them. When they finally reached the shore they all got onto a boat. Bastien hadn't seen Chris do anything and was completely unaware he had done anything at all. The trip to the island was a little rocky and Bast was very glad when they made it to solid land. He had seriously been feeling his breakfast coming back up.

Once they had all gotten off the boat they kind of stopped, as if taking it all in. Both Renji and Chris seemed to imply they needed to get started. Bast grabbed his notebook and began to write: 'Where should we begin?' He asked, showing them both the page. The islad was full of criminals there really was no knowing which were the gifted and which were normal. Though he supposed the gifted would all be near each other, since the reports were that they were drawing attention and it was more likely that a group would draw that kind of attention rather than one at a time.

Chris read the note and shrugged. "I guess we start at the entrance and work out way through." he said, motioning for them to follow. He trekked up to the entrance of the former prison, opening the door. He entered, making sure the two were following behind him. At first, things were incredibly quiet, but the more he listened the more subtle sounds he heard. Their presence was known to the group of gifted squatting here. "Alright, be careful you two. And stay together and be quiet." he whispered.

OOC: There are a total of 5 gifted. I will take two of them, and the other three can be distributed between you two. You may also decide what gift the person has. My two have the gifts of teleportation and metal manipulation.

Staying quiet and following Chris, Renji was suddenly extremely nervous. A prison? Couldn't they go to prison for breaking into one? No turning back now, he reminded himself. The tall student gave Chris a nod, telling him that he understood and continued to follow the boy's lead. Let's just hope this goes well.

Bastien wasn't really sure what was happening. He followed the other two as they headed toward the entrance. Who could possibly hiding here? It was kind of creepy, an abandoned prison. Bastien didn't stop to look around and decided that he would never come here to sight see of his own accord. Slowly they began to hear other noises and slowed their steps, each tap of their feet becoming quieter so as to not alert anyone to their presence. It wasn't too successful but they managed to locate the gifted that they needed to talk to. Hopefully no fighting would happen. Bastien nodded, glad he wasn't the one in charge.

Iceman looked around and was startled by the sudden appearance of a boy who stood at least 6 inches taller than he did. Instinctively he tried to punch with his Icearm but the taller boy teleported out of the way. "You're gonna have to be quicker than that." the teleporter sneered. Suddenly, another boy jumped from the second floor of cells and metal sprang out to catch him and he slowly fell to the ground on a platform of metal. "What are you folks doing here?" the metal manipulator said in a distinct southern accent.

Chris's hands got sweaty. Both of these boys could kick his ass at any time. But his face nor his voice wavered even slightly. "We're here to ask you to leave. You can't be here. You're attracting unwanted non-gifted attention." he told them, which made the two laugh. "You say that as if we care." the teleporter said, sounding bored.

Seeing two people appear from the shadows, Renji stood there, somewhat surprised. The teleporter seemed like a jerk, and he instantly knew that getting them out would be more difficult than they thought. Listening to their conversation, the orange haired student stayed quiet, making sure no to interrupt them until the three boy's chat ceased to silence. "Why would you want to stay here? I mean, besides the shelter?" He spoke up, unable to keep his curiosity quiet any longer.

It seemed, rather instantly, that they weren't alone. Quickly Chris was taken out and laying on some sheet of metal. They already had the leaders pinpointed, or so it seemed, as three more appeared from behind Renji and Bastien, as if blocking them in. They seemed to have a pretty good idea of where all of them were and Bastien heard one whisper to another: "These are the only ones I see." Chris and Renji made conversation with the others and Bastien wondered if he should say something as well. The first gifted, Bastien had tagged him the leader, said that what Chris said didn't matter. Renji's question was a good one. Waiting for their answer for a second Bastien decided he did wanted to speak.

First he scrunched up his eyes and concentrated on the five gifted. He still had struggles controlling his gift so he didn't know if his partners would see what he was saying. "They're right. If you draw attention to yourselves you might get yourselves hurt. You might even get those you care about hurt." Bastien's voice was soft, though it crackled slightly due to under use. He was purposefully vague so whatever those effected saw would conform to them specifically. Maybe he would get through better so they wouldn't end up fighting.
