Alcatraz Abnormalities [Mission]

Chris was shocked to hear Bastien talking, although thankfully, and unknown to him, he and Renji weren't targets of his talking. However, the taller of the two enemies shook their heads, as if something was going on in his head. The shorter one laughed. "I don't got any family. At least none that wanted me." he said. The teleporter, however, was seeing visions of his loved ones being taken away from him. A quick slap from the metal manipulator fixed that. "Can't you see he's tricking us? That's his gift you moron." The teleporter nodded, teleporting a safe distance away, out of audible range of Bastien. "Alright, let's do this." he said, teleporting and grabbing Chris. The metal manipulator followed as the both went to the other side of the prison, leaving Bastien and Renji on their own. However, they weren't entirely alone.

Renji looked to Bastien was Chris was teleported away with the other two gifted kids, and they were left on their own. "Well, uh, what now?" The tall student said nervously. "I'll tell you what," a wispy voice came from the shadows and out came a short bow, hoping like a frog. This kid looked like a freak show, for his hands and feet were scaly and webbed, and a trail of slim followed behind where ever he walked. His tongue went in and out of his mount as if he were a snake, and Renji was almost scared to ask what his power was. "I'm going to kick your scared little ass," he laughed, licking his lips with his creepy tongue. Soon after the odd boy spoke, another student walked out from the darkness, this time it was a girl. "Seriously, couldn't they have sent someone uglier for me to fight? It's going to be hard taking this cutey down," the blonde haired girl said with a blank look on her face and a hand on her hip. Renji thought there was one other person, but he didn't see the other guy appear yet and what was worse, was that he had no idea how things would go down.

"Hey now..." Renji said cautiously, not letting his gaze leave the other two. Before anything else could be said or done, the girl ran forward, grabbed his arm, rushed out the door, and jumped into the air. "Whoa!" He yelled, surprised by what had happened. Well, she was pretty cute and Renji usually didn't mind being carried off my cute girls, but this wasn't the time to think about that. The mysterious girl flew about ten feet off the ground, the frog boy followed close behind them, hopping on the ground bellow. Well, you're on your own now, good luck. He hoped Bastien and Chris were alright, and prayed that he'd be able to fight these two kids and complete the mission.

It was very hard for Bastien to control his speech sometimes and was glad that it didn't appear to effect either of his partners. Bastien huffed slightly, aware that it wasn't being as effective as it could have been. He huffed again when the teleporter tried to move out of range and then right back into range. Just because he was out of range didn't mean-and then he was gone. Bastien had no idea where the three disappeared to and was left alone with Renji and the other gifted standing behind them.

Bastien turned at the sound of a whimsical voice similar to his and cringed at one of the most unattractive people he had ever seen. Sure, Bastien wasn't normally one to judge, but the frog-like person trailing mucus was not exactly appealing to the eye. He also seemed a little more intense than Bastien would have liked. The girl that appeared seemed to instantly take a liking to Renji and Bastien scoffed. Sure, Renji was attractive in a bad boy, rich kid sense, but there was no reason for everyone to fall for him.

Instantly Renji was tossed into pointless fighting with the two other gifted and Bastien was left alone with the single shadow that had yet to reveal itself. "What are you guys doing here? Fighting is pointless, you're going to get yourselves hurt. Maybe not by us, but by the evil forces targeting all gifted people. They're out there, they just have yet to strike on you." Bastien wasn't well versed in gifted opposition, but it wasn't like it had to be true. Nor did it have to be specific because anyone within earshot of Bastien would see the words he spoke but none would see exactly the same thing.

"We've been here for a long time, there's no way what you say is true." Came the voice as the final gifted stepped from the shadows. Bastien wasn't entirely sure if they were male or female. They had shoulder length brown hair tied back into half a ponytail. Their clothes were extremely gender neutral and their voice was too low to be female but too high to be male. They were attractive and it shook Bastien for a second until he saw the mace they were wielding.

Chris managed to land a hit on the teleporter when the teleported back to the other side of the prison. It was a devastating hit with his ice arm, which knocked the teleporter out. The metal manipulator looked at Chris. "Well, kid, looks like you can hit pretty hard." the Southerner said. "But you couldn't hit me if you tried." With that the metal manipulator threw a large chunk of iron at Christopher. The Summer quickly dodged out of the way and shot some ice out of his hand at the other boy, which was swatted away easily. While the boy was distracted, Christopher concentrated on making the floor beneath their feet increasingly cold. Down went the temperature. It didn't take long before it was brittle enough to shatter. "Bet you didn't see this coming." he said, smashing his arm down on the floor, shattering it and making the two drop. Chris quickly made a slope of ice to slide down while the boy crumpled to the ground in a heap. "Not so tough now, are ya, Tex?" he said, walking over to the teleporter to drag him near the metal manipulator. All he needed to do now was get them out of here and make sure Renji and Bastien were alright.

The girl lowered herself to the ground, dropping Renji off on a small beach. He ran a few steps and landed with a thud, scrambling to stand back up, completely confused. A girl who could fly, and a boy who acted like a frog, juuust great. Turning around to face his opponents, the blonde hovered over the ground and the frog guy held a crazed looked on his face. "Since you seem so eager to fight him, I'll let you go first," she said with a roll of her eyes, flying a little ways away to make sure she didn't get in the middle of a battle. This boy... he was just a frog, what could he possibly do? "Sure thing sweetheart," he chuckled, getting low to the ground. What the hell...

Before Renji could even think about this kid's attack methods, the boy leaped into the air, mimicking a frog almost perfectly. Panicking and realizing he'd never really used his power for battle, Renji picked up a small rock that fit into his palm. It started to glow, and he chucked it at the kid. Upon impact, the small rock exploded, sending the kid flying backwards. Falling to the sandy ground, he shakily got back up, a pissed off look on his face. "Is that all you got?" He yelled, hopping forwards. Opening his mouth, a long, slimy tongue shot forwards towards the Winter, but Renji was ready, kinda... Grabbing the tongue, which was completely disgusting, it started to glow like the rock. "No no no no!" The kid cried, his frog like body part starting to heat up and expand. Letting go before he made the boy explode, Renji ran forwards. Honestly, this kid wasn't the best fighter either, but he still pitied him. With a quick kick to the gut, the frog kid was down with his face in the sand, and that only left Ms. Prissy Pants herself.

"What an idiot, I knew I should've done this myself, never trust a toad," she sighed, floating down towards her enemy. "Guess I'll have to take you down myself," with that, she flew towards him, swerving out of the way just before he could take a punch. "Too slow!" she laughed. Flying towards him again, she ducked down and swiped her arms under his legs, sending him falling to the ground again. Think Renji... think! This girl used distractions and overwhelming her opponent to her advantage, so he needed to focus. There wasn't much around him besides a few rocks and shells, but they'd have to do. While the girl flew around him and laughed, clearly not paying much attention, he inched his arm over to an empty clam shell. The girl soon turned around, headed straight for him, and he knew this was his chance. The shell started to glow and shake with energy inside his hand, and once he knew he had a good chance of hitting her, he threw it at the girl, praying that it would be enough to stop her, or at least slow her down.

Hitting the girl's face and exploding into little prices of sharp shell, the girl gave a shrill scream, falling to the ground. Standing back up, she moved her hand from her face, which was now covered in blood. "Look what you did!" she yelled in pure rage. "I'm not leaving this island, not with the likes of you!" Running and jumping into the air, she rushed towards Renji, hovering a bit above the ground. Realizing the mistake she'd made, he quickly picked up a rock, charged it up, and threw it onto a pile of rocks and shells that the girl now flew over. Just like a bomb, everything under her exploded and sent her flying out of control into the air with a scream, and she plummeted back down to the ground, landing on the sand with a nasty thud and a crack.

Walking over to her, he noticed her arm was twisted in a weird way, and it made him cringe. Well, at least he defeated them, now to find the others. Picking up the unconscious boy and hoisting him over one shoulder and the girl his other shoulder, Renji started walking towards the direction that Chris was taken, hoping to catch up with him, and then find Bastien.

Bastien had lost sight of Chris a while ago and focusing on the person who had targeted him meant he was unaware how Renji was doing behind him. The person approaching Bastien held one of the nastiest weapons Bast had ever been faced with. Not that he had ever been faced with a weapon. It was pretty frightening especially since Bastien hadn't brought anything that could go up against a mace. He had some pepper spray and a dagger, but he had very little practice in fighting. "That's because they're lying in wait, somewhere in the shadows, until you're at your most comfortable." Bast began going into more detail that could easily be represented visually by his voice in the head of the person he was talking to. There were small moments of hesitation every time he spoke but they never stopped advancing after his voice died out. "Let's just get this over with, yeah?" The person swung the mace, a little faster than Bast expected.

With little hesitation Bastien dodged, feeling the air the mace created pass by him and tickle the hairs on his arm. There was a loud clank as the mace hit the cement floor of the prison. Bastien was vaguely aware of voices and sounds somewhere behind him. He didn't know the skill level of his partners but if he had known Renji hadn't used his gift in battle before then he would have been really, really impressed if he could see how quickly Renji was taking down the other guys. "C-come on! Th-there's no need to fight. We can j-just talk it out." Bastien faltered in his speech, gaining a laugh from the person who was attacking him. The mace slammed down again but this time Bastien cleared it rather quickly, but not without landing with a thud on the ground. His foot had caught on a broken part of the floor and had tripped him up. Groaning he turned over but was kicked over before he could stand. The shock vibrated up his tailbone and he groaned at the pain.

"You're losing your touch, little boy." Bastien was pretty sure they were about the same size as him, but pointing this out at that moment wasn't really the best idea. They lifted the mace over their head, prepared to slam it into Bastien, but Bast took the opportunity to knock them down as well by kicking them in the shin. They fell to the ground hard and Bastien kicked away the mace and it skidded across the floor. They made to reach for it but Bastien straddled them on their chest and pulled out his dagger, pointing it right at their face. "I don't want to kill you."

Christopher had found it easier to cover the floor in ice and slide the two morons out the door rather than just drag them along. As soon as he finally managed to get the two onto the boat that they had "borrowed," he went back in to find Renji and Bastien handling themselves, so he just leaned against the wall and quietly waited for the two of them to get their people taken care of. Renji, it seemed, had already taken out two gifted, while Bastien was sitting on the chest of another, knife in hand. That might be a problem. Killing was serious. He knew that once you killed, you didn't go back from that. But he didn't say anything to the boy, maybe it was a scare tactic to get the gifted person out of the former prison.

Hauling his two unconscious opponents up to Chris and Bastien, he had to admit, it was quite a workout. Walking up a rocky hill with two people on his shoulders wasn't really what he was planning for when thinking about the mission, but oddly enough, he manged, though just barely. Walking back inside the building, he saw Chris standing against the wall as if nothing was going on and Bastien giving a death glare to his opponent. "Almost done? We should be getting out of here," he called out to the boy with a knife, hoping he didn't sound impatient. Honestly, he was extremely surprised and proud of himself that he was able to use his power like he did to take down the frog boy and flying girl. Guess I just need to have more faith in myself.

Fighting was not something Bastien enjoyed doing but this person wasn't listening to him very well and they weren't getting anything done. Renji had disappeared from behind Bastien but Bast was too busy fighting and talking to see if he was in the room or not. He was unaware that Chris and Renji were so good at this as he pinned the person to the ground and held his dagger to him. There was nothing in his stance that suggested injuring or harming unless the person moved. It was pointed toward the their face but he really hoped not to need to use it. Luckily the mace was out of the way and there was no way they would be able to reach it. Their face showed little to no fear at all and Bastien silently wondered what happened in ones life that made them not fear a simple dagger in the face. Bastien would have been panicking if they had switched positions.

"Come with me and we won't hurt you." Bastien said, trying to keep his voice from shaking. They lay on the ground, staring up at Bastien, not blinking or moving. The sound of foosteps echoed across the room but Bastien refrained from looking up. If it was one of the other bad guys, then they would attack him and free their buddy. "Whatever kid. Anywhere's better than here." They said, shifting into a seated position before standing. Bastien moved himself between them and their mace and took a step forward, nudging them toward where he noticed Chris standing. Wow, Chris must have been well trained. As he directed the person toward Chris and the exit Renji showed up behind him. Renji must have been pretty well experienced as well if he was done with his guys too. Bast directed the person toward the boat where he assumed Renji and Chris had left their guys. "Get in." Bastien instructed, watching as they climbed into the boat. Bastien followed, seeing the other four bodies knocked out in the boat, and assumed they were done and it was time to go back to the mainland.

OOC: Let's just finish this up, I'm losing muse for this mission ;;

IC: The trio and their opponents made it back to the mainland where they made an agreement that they wouldn't return to Alcatraz Island and they would be sure not to let anyone else gifted live there either. Renji, Bastien, and Chris made their way back to the hotel where the three of them collapsed on their respective beds. They slept late into the morning and checked out at around 11. They bought their tickets using the school's money and hopped onto a flight back to North Dakota. After the few hour flight, they returned back to Beata in a taxi, much like they had left for the mission. Chris breathed in deeply. "It's good to be back."
