Reading a Book..cause Books rock(open to all)

A surprised gasp escaped her lips, but it soon turned into a smile. "Really? That's quite the surprise; I should be honored that you find me awesome enough to hang out with me." Her sweet smile turned into a playful smirk, as she bow slightly. "You should be returning the gesture, it lets me know that you accept my honored feelings." She whispered those words while looking up slightly at him, the playful smirk still in place. But, as soon as she finished her sentence, she heard a small bark coming from the entrance door to the library. "Shit!" She stood up from her slight bow and quickly sprinted to the door, leaving Connor confused. Though, he was welcome to follow her if he wanted. 
Arriving at the door, she pushed it open. As soon as she opened the door, a small dog ran inside towards her. Quickly picking it up, Yin gave it a small pat on the head, though she had a frown on her face. "How the heck did you got out of my room, Kinji!? I told you to stay put 'till I come back.." The small husky licked her cheek, obviously happy to see his owner. If the dog knew that Yin was slightly upset, he didn't show it.

Connor cocked his head to the side, following Yin. The boy stopped next to her, looking at her arms. "You have dog?" He observed. Becketts presence rolled across his mind. 'Connor, you may be smart but you seem to lack basic sight' the voice said. Connor crossed his arms,  sighing. 'Beckett can you not be a douche?' He thought back. 'Um...no?' He replied. Connor lowered his arms and looked at the husky. "What's his name?"

Seeing him cross his arms and sigh, she tilted her head in confusion. It seemed, he was arguing with himself or something. And she knew a lot about that, since she argued with herself most of the time. Shaking the thoughts away, she looked at the puppy in her arms and ruffled his hair. "His name is Kinji. A found it when he was only a baby...You want to hold him?" She asked him while extending her arms towards him. Upon seeing Connor, Kinji started to growl but Yin quickly calmed him down. "It's okay, Kinji. He is a friend; he won't hurt you.." Looking back at Connor, she smiled at him and held the dog in his direction. "Come on, you can hold him. He won't bite, just let him smell your hand first and then pick him up..."

Connor looked down at Kinji, then at Yin, thinking. He liked animals well enough so why not? He reached out and held out his hand, letting the dog get his scent, then took him into his arms carefully. Connor gently rubbed the dogs head, a smile once again play across his lips. "Yin, if I told you...I hear this voice in my head sometimes, what would you think of me?" He ask after a long period of silence, his smile fading once he asked.

Suddenly, she remembered when she saw him talking by himself earlier. She averted her eyes from him, looking at the shelves full of books around them. Yin wasn't one to judge based on first impressions; and she knew that everyone had a reason for being how they are. Looking back at Connor, she gave him a friendly smile. "I'm going to be honest. If you were to tell me that you hear a voice in your head, when I wasn't aware of -or knew anything about- my gift, I would have thought you were crazy. However, since I know that nothing is what it seems here; I know there must be a very good reason as to why you are hearing this voice." Looking down at Kinji she patted his head lightly, making the dog bark happily at her. "Besides, we are friends now. I'm supposed to support you, not judge you." She returned her gaze back at Connor, her smile still in place.

"What if that voice was a total pain in the ass and enjoyed making sarcastic comments?" He asked with a little smirk. 'Then you should judge yourself lucky and be glad I live in here!' Beckett piped up. "And now the voice is defensive" Connor said putting Kinji on the floor. He leaned against the wall, resting his hands behind his head. "The only reason for me asking is because he agrees with me and finds you cute"

Chuckling at his question, she knelt down to keep petting the small puppy. As soon as the comment about her being cute reached her ears, her cheeks became a bright red. Though, this time it wasn't that much of a surprise. Looking up, she decided to just go with the flow and respond with a flirtatious comment as well. Yin didn't know if she was any good at flirting. She never openly flirted with anyone but remembering what one of her favorite maid -back home- told her once, she decided to just go with her guts. "Well, that confirms that he also has a great taste in girls, just like you." Winking at Connor, she went back to caress Kinji's ears. "Plus, I find sarcastic comments funny. If humans didn't have a sarcastic side, they would be boring and without humor. And I'm a sucker for humorous people..." Taking Kinji in her arms, she brought him up and rubbed her nose with his. "Right, Kinji?...I know you agree with me...Who's a good boy? You are!" As if to let Yin know that she was right, Kinji licked her cheek and barked happily at her.

"Techincally he is me, as we share a mind, and body, he's like a persona that has his own consciousness, so while I remain charming, and handsome, he supplies his own comments that reflect mine" he said watching her. He chuckled and shook his head, before looking down the hall. "While I have good taste in girls, I'm sure eventually I can find one that finds me as attractive as you do...unless you would..." He faltered and shook his head yet again, feinting uncertainty. "Nah, I don't think you would do it, besides we just met and all" he said. 'Your going to play this game huh?' Beckett said. 'I like her, she likes hanging with me, why not propose that we just hang some more...at a cafe?' He thought back.
 Making Beckett laugh. 'Go for it' was all he said.

Giving Connor a playful smile, she tapped her chin as if she was pondering about his words. "Hm? I think, I might agree with you. Me finding you attractive because you happen to have a defensive, sarcastic and pain in the ass voice inside your head, would be very weird. And you're right, we just met...." She sends him a quick wink, before chuckling softly. "Hey? Does this voice have a name?" She was curious to see if it did since he said that, this voice had a conscience of its own. "Oh! And I would like to know more about him since, I'll be talking to him as well. Wouldn't want to say something that might, make him hate me and then we wouldn't be able to talk peacefully..."

"The voice is named Beckett, he's pretty much an okay guy, he doesn't say much unless something interesting was going on, he like me is hard offend but easy to hang with, he for some reason can allow me to preform amazing physical things, like I can do parkour, and fight without a weapon if needed..." Connor said rolling through the list of what he knows of Beckett, pausing in between to think. "And you can't make him hate you, at least, not all in one day"

"He sounds interesting, which I could say makes you interesting as well. I find it pretty cool that you can defend yourself in a fight. I remember telling my parents to let me take self-defense classes but they were completely against it. Apparently, those kind of classes were not appropriate for ladies. Though, at least I got my gift to protect myself; that is if I learn to control it..." Chuckling, she was about to caress Kinji again but the puppy had other plans. Jumping down from her arms, he ran down the hall as if he was chasing something. "Kinji!? Kinji! Come back here!" She was about to start running after him, but remembered that she had left the book back where they first started talking. Quickly, she went to retrieve it and then went back to Connor. "I'm very sorry. I wish I could keep talking to you both, but I really need to go after him. He is prone to get in trouble and I'd be very upset if something were to happen to him. You are welcome to tag along; however, I would understand if you have other things to do..." She started to walk in the direction the small husky went but still, she kept a slow pace in case he would accept the offer to join her.

After a second Yin could hear his footsteps, coming up behind her, Connor then felt resting his arms around her shoulders. "I've got nothing better to do" he said while he walked with her. Connor smiled a bit and slipped his arm off of her. "Besides I enjoy your company Yin, why not hang around a bit more" he said. He looked down a corridor, Kinji already turning a corner. "Might wanna run after him before he's lost forever"

Feeling his arms on her shoulders she tensed a bit, but quickly relaxed. He was her friend, she could needed to trust him a bit more. Smiling, she looked back at him. "Believe it or not, I enjoy your company as well." At the mention of Kinji, she looked in the direction Connor was looking to see Kinji had turned a corner. "Actually, I don't think I'll be able to lose him even if I wanted to. He has my scent pretty much embedded in his memory and anywhere I go, he always finds me. If we were back at home, I would let him run around without worrying so much. But since we're not at home and I don't much about this place or the type of people that might be running around, I worry he might get in trouble." Looking back at Connor, Yin gave him another smile and grabbed his hand as she started to run. "Come on! I don't want him to leave us behind; besides I'm curious as to where he would take us!"

Connor let Yin drag him a bit more before starting to run with her. "What do you think he's looking for?" He asked while he ran. He squeezed her hand slightly as Kinji disappeared down another hall, the boy moved a bit faster now, pulling a quick hairpin turn with Yin on the back end. "Where ever he's going, I hope you can keep up with me"

"Knowing Kinji the only thing that can make him run like that, is food. However, I got to admit he has been acting strange since we got here. I don't know what he actually is looking for but every time he smells or senses something he wants, he would not stop until he gets it. Funny, how my mother told me that he got that habit due to spending too much time with me." Chuckling, she ran a bit faster to try and keep up with the boy's quick pace. Feeling him squeeze her hand slightly, she returned the gesture by doing the same. "What I can truly be sure is that, everywhere Kinji and I go, there is an adventure waiting for us. So, the real question is...Can you keep up with us?" She grinned at him, her violet eyes gleaming with playful mischief and joy. Her pink hair moving around, the white hair-band barely holding on, due to their fast pace.
