Brestiny Time.

The smile on Destiny's face grew brighter as she watch Kindle go after her spirit bird. The keeping the spirit there did hurt her head, so she kept a hand on her head to help dull the pain. The dead never really scared the necromancer but she hated when the randomly appeared because of her power. The pain started to get worse but she kept one eye closed and a smile on her face despite it. She listened on what Brant was saying only to blush a little soon after. "Thanks.." She said in a soft tone.

Brant sighed softly when he noticed the toll the spirit was taking on Destiny, glancing at Kindle who was still waiting for the bird to draw close. "You know, you don't need to keep it here if it hurts," he said, his eyes glimmering sightly with concern as he glanced back at the necromancy. The Summer gently raised his hand and ruffled his hair, letting out a small huff. "I mean, it guess it is for training in all but...Ah...I don't wanna see you in pain just cause of that, ya know?"

Destiny gave off a sigh, and removed her hand. She looked at Kindle for a moment before she looked up at the spirit. She watch it faded then turn into a puff of smoke which soon fizzled out. Even it being gone her headache lingered. With another sigh she fell back on his bed letting her head rest.

Wait, what? Kindle blinked in surprise; the bird she had been 'hunting' suddenly gone having faded before puffing into smoke. Her ears fell back, letting out an angry 'merow' before she jumped to the ground, her tail lashing. She padded back to the bed, hopping up before she lied down next to Brant, laying her head down on his knee with a huff.

Brant, however, just chuckled as he looked at his cat. He gently rubbed her head before he glanced at Destiny. "You know; I'm not kidding; that was really awesome. Thanks for doing that, Destiny," he said, a soft smile on his face.

Destiny kept her eyes closed as she held her head. She didn't know exactly what was happening but she did know Kindle wasn't happy. She heard what Brant said said and gave a small smile followed by a thumbs up by holding her arm straight in the air before letting it go limp and land on her stomach with a thump.

Brant let out a small laugh as he watched Destiny give him a thumbs up, a small flicker of flame following it. He paused as he watched his flame disappear shortly after exiting his mouth, a small smile on his face. "To bad I can't do as much as you with my power; I can just breath fire. I also found that spicy food doesn't bother me so that is a plus I suppose. Bet your power doesn't do that," he teased slightly.

Kindle lifted his head when she felt the small heat of the flame, flicking her tail with annoyance. Now, she was used to Brant breathing fire; after all didn't all humans do it? However, it bothered her slightly after losing her prey, so she stood up and turned away with a huff. Trying to find a new place to lay down; she found the perfect spot. Only, that spot was on top of Destiny's chest. She hopped onto the 'fallen' necromancer's chest and laid down; pinning Destiny's arm down as she started to purr happily from her spot.

A smile grew on the necromancer's face once again, keeping her eyes closed she spoke. "I can eat decaying flesh and not die." She said in a serious tone ignoring the new lump on her chest. She let the words sit for a moment before, breaking the silence with a laugh. "No I can't." Though he might not find it as funny as she did.

Brant had indeed grown silence when Destiny had spoken up, but had let out a soft sigh of relief before breaking into laughter. God; he didn't know what exactly he would of done if she could cause that would raise the question of how the hell she figured out she could. "Thank goodness; I didn't want to be hanging out with a cannibal," he said with a soft chuckle and another flicker of flame. He paused for a few seconds, staring at it as he shifted nervously.

That was...Strange. Twice in a matter of seconds? He normally didn't breath fire this much unless he was nervous about something like when he had first learned about his powers but...No, he wasn't nervous. Not around Destiny. She was just a cool person to hang around, nothing to be nervous around it. He just liked hanging out with her, even thought it wasn't like they were hanging out for long. She was just...Oh... He started to blush, shaking his head as he started shoot down the thought that had just entered his head. Nope; that wasn't the case. It couldn't be, they had just met....He sighed softly to himself as another flicker of flame gently escaped his mouth. Thank goodness Destiny had her eyes close, he didn't know what he would do if she saw how nervous he suddenly was.

Keeping her eyes closed helped Destiny's head a good deal. It only hurt a little now but what puzzled her was she felt heat every time Brant talked. She didn't even mind his last comment. Even so she kept her eyes closed. It wasn't til the prolonged silence the she opened one of her red eyes to see a small flame leave his mouth as he sighed. "What's wrong?" She asked only keeping one eye open, careful not to move to much to not disturb Kindle.

Dangit. Brant shifted slightly, chuckling softly as another flicker of flame escaped his mouth. "Ah...Just seems like I'm having some problems with my gift. This...Happens from time to time; so don't worry. It should pass soon enough." However, almost every time he spoke there was a small flicker of flaming, causing him to sigh as he shook his head; only to bring out another flicker of flame. His power hadn't even been this active when he first found out about it and had no idea what was going on. Why was he so nervous? He couldn't be...No, it wasn't like he believed in that kind of stuff. That was just for fairy tales and crud like that. Ugh...Part of him just wanted to bury his head into his hands as he gently fought with his mind; trying to convince himself that it wasn't the case. There was simply no way he was this nervous because he was crushing on Destiny; after all they had only just met!

She watched him for a second, but the fire kept coming out everytime he opened his mouth. She still had one eye closed, and gave him a 'Are you sure?' look even with just one of them. It didn't seem like this was a thing that happened from time to time from the way he was reacting. She carefully moved Kindle beside her and sat up to look at him fully instead of his back. Something in her didn't believe him.

Brant huffed as Destiny glared at him; even as she sat up. He could tell she was questioning his response; he wasn't surprised; it hadn't been all that smooth at all. He paused as Kindle wandered back onto his lap after being removed from Destiny's, glancing down at his fluffy ragdoll to gently pet her ears as she laid back down. He wasn't sure what to say; it wasn't like he wanted to tell her that it was just cause he was nervous because then she would ask why and...He didn't want to admit why it was nervous; he barely wanted to admit it to himself. Maybe if he just tired to focus on his powers...He glanced up at her, still rubbing Kindle's head. "Its nothing to worry about," he said, before sighing in relief at the fact that no flicker of flame followed. Just had to focus on controlling it...On controlling his emotions.

Destiny gave him another questioning look before answering, "Okay.. She still din't believe him despite the lack of flame this time. She laid back down closing her eyes again. A slight pink dusted her checks but it soon went away as she kept her eyes closed and focused on getting rid of her headache.

Cause once again; that was anything close to being smooth. He sighed softly as he watched her go back to lying down with her eyes closed, glancing down at Kindle who just glared up at him. He frowned softly as he rubbed Kindle's head, pleasing the cat. Truthfully, Brant wasn't very proud of himself lying like that, but what else was he going to do? He was nervous beyond anything because...Well, he had this small, small feeling that he might have a small crush on Destiny, but it just seemed to be out of nowhere.

She was nice, awesome to hang around with, had a...Small sense of humor, but hey, it worked, and she was really cute. Well, and she was rather gifted with using her gift. Brant wasn't sure what to say, unsure what he even felt. It wasn't like he just wanted to say out loud; hey, I have a crush on you even thought we met yesterday when you beat my butt in a fight. So, he just sat there rubbing Kindle's head, hoping that something they could talk about would come up so Brant could try to focus on something else other than his...Crush.

Destiny laid there on his bed, not really making a movement except the rise and fall of her chest as she breathed. She wasn't really fond of the silence between them. She liked when they were having a conversation. Now it just felt awkward. A blush grew on her cheeks again as her mind wandered towards Brant. She did like him, maybe a little more than she would like to realize. His smile was nice.. she quickly put a hand on her face to block her blush, and small smile from being shone and quickly recomposed herself.
