Some People Shouldn't Fail [Open]

Magic had managed to find his way into the training rooms. He was currently standing at one of the punching bags. He failed again. He was back to his to his old self. The person who enjoyed fighting. That's why he was here. He was hoping to get back to his newer self, by punching the crap out of the bags, or it could make it worse. Who knows. In a flash a fist came out and hit the bag. A left jab, then he hit the bag with another jab, then a right cross. This time he changed it up in the next set. Left hook, right cross, left hook. Then it changed again to be a combination of the things he done. Left jab, right cross, left hook, right cross. Then he repeated the whole thing again. Jab, Jab cross, Hook cross hook, jab cross hook cross. He kept hitting the bag, letting the sounds of the bag being hit fill his ears.

A towel was held in her left arm, as she patted her forehead with her right arm. She hadn't felt this great in ages, it may not seem like it but Aspen was quite the fitness gal. Ever since she was a young child her parents pushed her into dance classes, although she didn't want too do them she soon grew in love with it. She never regretted joining dance ever since, even her body had grown nicely over the past few years. It wasn't really visible but Aspen also had some abs, the blonde was wearing a sports bra and some shorts so if you looked close enough you would be able too see them but she didn't consider them worth bragging about. The towel was fluffy and soaked with sweat, Aspen usually game too the gym too work-out or swim around in the pool. She has never considered punching a bag though. As she had wandered through the training rooms too look around a surprised look had crossed her face when she had spotted Magic.

Only a couple of days ago did Aspen find out that Magic had a brother, well half a brother. Although they did strike a very close resemblance. Smiling the blonde had raised her hand her eyebrows growing with joy, happy to see one of her friends here. "Magic hey!" She called out towards the boy but frowned slightly, it seemed like he was focusing on the punching bag more then on her Blinking Aspen walked closer, observing the winter. He didn't seem too angry maybe he was just working out? But his strength was outstanding. The autumn was amazed at how powerful his punches were, it startled her a bit. "Magic..? hey" She repeated not sure if he would be able too hear her again.

Barry had came to the fitness room to wear off some of his excess energy. He now knew what it was like to go overboard on energy and he never wanted to feel that way ever again. He had hardly broken a sweat but he still had a towel with him just in case. He was dressed in an orange tank top and black athletic shorts. He noticed Magic punching a punching bag so he began walking over there to say hello. Then he noticed Aspen and smiled. Two people he enjoyed being around. When he got closer to them he noticed the intensity of Magic's punches and wondered if Magic was okay. "Magic, you okay?" he asked, slightly concerned. "Oh hey Aspen!"

Magic stopped as soon as he heard people get close. Why did they have to be here? Someone was gonna get hurt, but the urge to start a fight was real. He looked at the two, giving an uneasy smile before looking back to the bag. He couldn't focus on them for too long or else he would end up hitting one of them soon. He was trying to keep it at bay. He steady himself back into a stance again, and went back to punching. Jab, Jab cross, Hook cross hook, jab cross hook cross. He thought in his mind.

A sharp cry suddenly rang out as a powerful breeze sent a flurry of papers into the air, flying away like seagulls by the shore, and Lamia was left standing there with an arm outstretched, her fingers trying to grasp for them as they rose into the night sky towards the stars. The girl considered going off to collect them until she saw that they'd landed in various puddles, hedges, or skidding across wet bricks like they were stones meant for skipping across the waves if they weren't soaring past the fences. So much for the music sheets that Kearn had sent her... They were the only reason she had went to the office to pick up the package and to past by the gymnasium. Why was she so clumsy? Her brother would be so disappointed.

Her arms feel limp to her sides as she stared off after the sheets, a blush rising to her cheeks as a group of passing students gave her an odd look before moving on. With a sigh, Lamia subconsciously walked towards the training room before pausing to look at her reflection in the window. How pathetic she looked... No matter what she tried, she still looked so fragile and weak. Gold eyes widened when she saw who was inside and she quickly tore her them away, her hands clasped together at her chest. What was Magic doing in there? It was like...

Oh. Her uneven bangs fell over her eyes as her expression darkened before she sprinted inside, stopping behind the other two to catch her breath again. Goddamn, her physical capabilities were so poor. "M-magic..." she muttered his name softly, thinking back on what she told him. You're trying not to hurt us right now...

The autumn's eyebrow rose, something about his smile was bothering her, and besides that point Magic wasn't acting normal. She wanted too talk too Magic and tell him that she met his brother thinking that he would care, but it looked like that chat would have too wait till later. The way he continued too punch the bag was really starting too startle her now. His punches seemed too be so powerful and it looked like Magic hadn't shed a single sweat. Her purple gaze went towards Barry giving her dorm-mate a soft smile, she was glad that he was okay now. At least he knows what would happen if he ever drank a redbull again. Aspen had reached for her backpack her hands clasping onto a clear watter-bottle it's cap was tightened very hard, if she could she would drink it but she didn't have the strength too open it, so she figured she would give it too Magic since he was still working out. "Why don't you take a break and have a drink?" She asked warmly, giving the winter a small smile.

The autumn blinked as Lamia had approached from nowhere, "Oh hi Lamia~" Aspen had said her smile staying firmly at her lips. She hadn't seen the winter forever, so much was going on right now she didn't bother saying hello too her at the winter dorms. Something had bothered Aspen, the tone of Lamia's voice had caused a slight worry, frowning slightly she glanced towards Magic and Lamia again. "Something the matter?"

Barry was concerned about Magic. He had never seen him this way. He put his hand on his shoulder gently. "Are you alright?" he asked.

That was a mistake. A major mistake on Barry's part. Magic stopped his punching, and his arms fell to his sides, but he still had clenched fists. He looked down to the ground, trying to ignore the hand on his shoulder. It was irritating him. His right hand unclenched, then formed back into a fist. Magic reached up can grabbed Barry's hand, at first it felt like a reassuring thing, but then Magic tightened his grip, and turned. With his grip on Barry's hand, he tried to pull Barry off Balance with his left arm while his right arm came around with a tight fist, aiming to hit Barry in the face.

"D-don't get---"

Too late. She didn't speak up fast enough. Lamia didn't want to look at what would happen just because she failed to say anything quick enough, but she couldn't shut her eyes closed or turn away. Why? Was this really fate's way of mocking her? Clutching her sides, her entire body was trembling. She couldn't stop shaking and her heart was beating like a drummer's erratic rhythm. It couldn't be this nerve-wracking... She's seen this before. I told him that I wasn't afraid of him. Then why...? The Winter shot a quick, nervous glance to Aspen, hoping it was enough of a warning.

She didn't know why... her voice was refusing to speak up. Lamia knew she was absolutely pathetic. Golden, doe-like eyes watched the scene in front of them, and when she blinked, they turned to a dull, bitter blue like a raging storm out in the middle of the sea. I really am a failure... I just can't catch up to everyone else.

Barry, not expecting the move, lost his footing but saw the fist coming. He used his speed to quickly fix his position and he caught the fist and the momentum caused by the speed stopped it dead. He dropped Magic's arm and back pedaled away from him. Barry sighed. "You forget that I'm faster than you. I'm just concerned about you." He said.

Aspen was even more confused, it was clear that Magic wasn't acting normal. Something was wrong, she hardly knew the dude but it concerned the autumn too see him like this. The blonde watched quietly as Barry approached Magic, only too be shocked by hearing Lamia's voice. It was hard too hear what she was saying but it was obvious that she was giving everyone a warning. Blinking her gaze snapped back towards Barry only too see Magic hold tightly onto Barry's arm.

Before she could say something in the blink of an eye Barry had already escaped from Magic, Aspen found herself slowly back up. Giving an uneasy glance towards Magic, before glancing towards Lamia. The autumn knew that Lamia could almost never give a straight answer, but they needed too help Magic. "Whats going on Lamia, what are you not telling us."

She could see the desperation of the situation for herself. Expectantly. Waiting for an answer and telling them everything she knew, but... Her mind flashed back to that night out in the forest. It was out of pure coincidence that Lamia had been out there that night, and while she'd forgiven him for what happened and was completely fine with it, there was still that... That pained, anguished scream as a warning to leave. The power he tried to hold back. She wasn't betraying his secret against his will. Magic, no, Mason was trying so hard to change and become a better person. It was her fault for what's happening now. Just because she wasn't fast enough to say anything.

Lamia bit her lip, shaking her head. The other two might hate her for this. But she wasn't going to ruin her fellow Winter's reputation after all of the hard work he's put into it. "I-I c-can't... Y-you don't need to know." she mumbled under her breath. "Just g-get away... f-for now." Thinking back further, all she knew was that he snapped out of it after she got hurt. Her fingers clenched into fists, knuckles white from too much force and tension. If that was the case... she might need to mentally prepare herself for a beating.

Magic gave a bit of a pained face, but it soon returned to an uncaring face. He didn't care if Barry was faster than him, he didn't care if they were just trying to help. His fists were still clenched, and teeth bared. He was fighting himself currently. His eyes looked at the three people in front of him. He couldn't hit Barry he learned that.. Then his eyes locked onto Aspen. She wouldn't be able to move out of the way. Using sound for a bit of speed, he closed the gap between Aspen and him relatively fast. He brought his right arm, back and sent it forward aiming to hit Aspen. He was looking for a fight.

She didn't have time to brace herself either. Fate was really playing its cards with her today, weren't they? Without a second thought, Lamia tried to close the distance between herself and Aspen, shoving her to the ground and once she regained her balance, the attacks were already coming. She'd watch the tournament and knew the power that Magic had the potential for, something she couldn't rival. Yet, she went ahead and let someone who was most likely more competent in combat get out of the way and took the blows herself. It hurt. It really did, but she was holding back any cries of pain or shouts of agony. He was trying, right? He was trying to control himself, or that's what she wanted to believe.

With a successful block so far - thank god Kearn had convinced her to take martial arts with him when she was younger - a slightly triumphant glint appeared in her eyes, but she her terse breath said otherwise. He was far stronger than her, physically and mentally, and this would be the only actual blow she'd manage to block decently. She'd thought about redirecting the blow and putting him into a lock, but Lamia didn't want to actually hurt him. So she'll evade to the best of her abilities. Or however long she'd last.

The attack would probably leave her arm bruised for a bit, and she could feel it swelling up. Damn it, I was too slow to properly defend against that. She was always too slow. Always. Lamia planned to resist as best as she could and hold up a decent fight until he snapped out of it. Unless... No, don't think like that. He will snap out of it. She really didn't want to think of the consequences of what would happen if she faltered too early.

Aspen sighed softly, not that she expected much but she was expecting more although she did slightly understand why Lamia couldn't tell them. Giving a glance towards Barry the autumn gave a curt nod before starting too back further away from Magic, raising an eyebrow. It was as if there was a demon controlling him, and Magic himself was fighting a battle. The Magic that Aspen had knew would never do this - she really wanted too know what was wrong with him but that needed too wait for another time. He was acting hostile, they needed too stop him before somebody got hurt.

The autumn gave a uneasy glance as Magic had locked eyes with her. The look in his eyes.. She didn't like it one bit, it scared her. Before she could even breath Magic and Aspen were face too face, only looking at Magic with pure shock. She couldn't react but she felt herself being pushed out of the way, the autumn tumbled too the ground. Only too see Lamia get smacked by one of Magics powerful hits. "Lamia!"
