Montare sighed quietly. "Fine, if you think you've got it. And I know what he said." He capped the bottle again as he spoke, now holding it at his side. It was probably best he did this, as three swings of vodka would definitely take a toll on him in due time, and he didn't want to end up needing medical help. Montare continued to walk alongside the two, letting out another hiccup.

As Evelyn pushed against Colette, the girl immediately pulled away until she was about a foot from her dormmate. What was she doing? Looking away and not saying anything about her shift, her eyes soon were set on the academy entrance, which they had approached in no time. That was good, for it was getting awkward even for Colette. The girl smiled at the sign from under her coat, though she appeared to be neutral to her peers. Slowly trudging through the snow, the trio arrived at the school.

Scilene quickly speed up her walking so she walked in line with the other girls, her bottle of vodka hidden safely in her jacket. Her arms were crossed to keep the bottle from slipping. The student glanced at the other two girls next to her. They seemed very nervous about Montare being not so far away from them. And she couldn't blame them. Scilene remembered when she had been first told the story at the beginning, she couldn't help but cringe. After that incident, she knew that Montare was never going to get a girl while people still remembered.

The pink haired girl glanced at Montare as he attempted to help Evelyn with her case of beer. She loud out a snort of amusement. Yeah, good luck with that, wasn't there a rumor that Evelyn almost killed Montare for hitting on her. He honestly thinks that she'll let him do that again?

Drunk creepy idiot. Evelyn tried her best to not let her heart sink as Colette distanced herself away and instead decided to take some comfort in Scilene catching up. The girl didn't know her well at all, but her presence would probably deter Montare from any more... approaches. Then again, remembering all the rumors and events centering around Alicia, probably not. Fuck my life. What did I do to deserve this? She looked up at the unbroken sea of dark clouds above her, blinking at the cold snowflakes that gently floated down and melted on her face and hair. Maybe God was up there, laughing at her misfortune. For a moment she was reminded of Job and sighed. I'm sorry about the beer, and the bad thoughts about Colette. But could you stop this, please?

Montare stood there, glancing at Scilene when she let out a snort. Rolling his eyes, he hid his bottle of vodka. Noticing what Evelyn was doing, he decided it would be best to just stop trying to make friends, taking a few steps away from her. Montare waited for someone else to go onto the school campus. He expected Evelyn wouldn't go first, especially since she had no way of hiding the case of beer she was struggling to carry. And Lette didn't seem to even want to be grouped with the rest of them, being the only one not to buy beer or vodka from John.

As they entered the school's grounds, Colette made an immediate turn towards the Winter Dorms, not even looking at her companions or hinting at such. She had been waiting for a while to abandon them, those terribly stupid people, and retreat to her dorm. Now, when presented with the opportunity to both do that and escape the cold, she harbored no hesitation. Emotions and feelings within the girl were plentiful and alive. She was angry, she was tired, and she was cold. Her coat had started to lose its ability to keep her warm, as she had been out there for a rather lengthy period of time. Her shoulders started to shake a few dozen yards back, and added to the relief of being home.

Home. This wasn't home. Alaska was home, Anchorage was home. Or was it? It had been a while since Colette had truly felt like she belonged somewhere, and so the word home had no true meaning to her. It was something everyone else had, and something that she was trying to have. Colette found the winter dorms with relative speed and stepped inside.

Evelyn inwardly cursed as Colette quickly peeled off from the rest of the group and dashed off. No, please don't go. Don't leave me here with them. She cast a nervous glance at Montare and Scilene, panic setting in and fear welling up inside her. What was she supposed to do? What could she do to try and escape them? Would they make her drink with them? That was the last thing she wanted. God damn it, why did you ditch me like this? "Uh... Um... I..." she started, her eyes darting from the direction of the winter dorms to her two unwanted companions. "I've... I've g-g-gotta g-go! S-see... ya... agh..."

Her voice trailing off and with that one last awkward farewell, Evelyn bolted after Lette as fast as her numb legs could carry her, the beer in her arms clattering around with every step. In the darkness, with the snow piling up, she could only pray that she wouldn't trip over herself.

Thankfully, her wish was granted, and the Winter residence hall's dark silhouette soon came into sight. Evelyn slowed to a stop in front of Dorm 101 to breathe, watching as her breath billowed out in front of her. Now what? Her heart was pounding. She drew in a deep breath and straightened up, hoping against hope that nobody happened by to see the lone girl sitting in the light of the hall, cradling her prohibited goods. Don't be scared... stand upright...

She gently lowered the case to the ground, fished her key out of her pocket and slipped it into the lock. Please nobody catch me... she prayed to herself as she turned the lock and pushed the door open. The familiar creak and wheezing of the opening door sounded ten times too loud, and Evelyn made haste to drag her case in and slam it shut behind her, only feeling at ease enough to breathe once she turned the lock. Good.

As Evelyn was making her way to the dorm, Colette had already slinked inside the dorm, letting out a sigh. Shedding her coat carelessly into the closet, she quickly left her shoes at the door and retired into her personal room. This had felt like a long day for Colette, despite it only being afternoon. The girl discarded her sunglasses and placed them on her dresser, and for the first time since she went out she could see clearly.

Scilene opened her mouth to protest. She really didn't want to be left alone with Montare. The girl quickly turned to where she knew the Autumn dorms lay. She started started a fast pace. Suddenly feeling rude for just leaving, she spun around to face the wolf/boy/thing, then removing a hand from supporting her vodka, she gave him a short wave before moving her arm to its original spot. Scilene then turned back around and made a dash for her dorm room, also known to her as a warm refuge.

Montare stood there as the others walked away. Shit, he was almost hoping this wouldn't happen. After all, he felt he caused all of them to buy alcohol after he was the first to buy and prove it wasn't spiked with anything, and now he suspected Scilene and Evelyn would end up getting completely wasted. It also didn't help he was starting to have a bit trouble balancing from his own vodka. Trying to ignore this, he started walking toward the dorms, only to fall face first into the snow once he reached the cluster of buildings. He got up, although only enough to sit in the snow, disoriented.

Finally in the safety of the dorm, Evelyn sighed loudly and kicked off her soaked boots. It felt good to feel carpet beneath her feet after walking in the numbingly cold snow for the past hour. Now I can sit back in my room and drink in peace. No Montare, no Scilene, nobody. Just her, a quiet room, and a precious pack of Pabst. There was a flutter of excitement. What did being drunk even feel like? She had no idea, on reflection. The girl hefted up the case with one arm and walked through her room's open door.

She set the case beside her bed and slipped out of her winter coat. Snow sucks. Evelyn had quickly grown tired of getting cold and wet every time she stepped outside. Winter lost its charm after a few weeks. While it had been fun at first, to watch if not to play in, it had now turned into a massive inconvenience. It turned out Beata's simple school uniform didn't do much to keep the girls warm. Spring wasn't that far away, but it couldn't come fast enough for her. Fucking groundhog. she thought to herself as she picked off her wet socks.

The door to Colette's dorm reopened, and the girl appeared from it as she returned to the living room of the dorms. Her hair was released from their usual ties and fell limply at her shoulders, and her uniform's outer layer was shed so that the white buttoned up shirt remained. The girl seemed unamused, almost tired, as she bound across to the kitchen sink with a plastic cup in sock feet. Once she filled it up appropriately with water, the girl took a sip, leaning against the counter and staring at Evelyn observantly, a rare thing for her to ever consider doing. Thankfully, both of her eyes were still a deep blue.

Looking up from the floor as she cast a sock aside, she found herself gazing up at Colette. Color rose to her cheeks as she met her eyes, but she fought the instinct to look away. That'd be weird. You're being weird. Stop being weird. But what was she supposed to do? Don't just sit there staring. Say something, stupid. "S-so... um..." she started. Damn it, what am I supposed to talk about? "...d-do y-you want t-to s-sha... err, n-nevermind." Evelyn quickly turned away, inwardly cursing herself, and began to fiddle with a box to make herself look busy. You blew it... stupidstupidstupidstupidstupid....

Montare sat in the snow for a few moments before coming to his senses. He stood up, wobbling ever so slightly. He began to look at the four dorm buildings, trying to recognize the Spring dorms. Montare started to walk over to the nearest dorm on the right, stupidly taking out his vodka for another swig all the while.

He fished in his pocket for the key, proceeding to try to put the key in, although after each attempt it would either fail to go in due to being for a different door, and one try ended with the key missing entirely. Why won't this fucking key work..? Montare thought to himself, now standing there awkwardly for a moment.

Colette peered at the beer, a rather enigmatic look on her face. She seemed to be calmer as she reached the warmth of indoors, and now just seemed to be observant. Guessing what Evelyn was trying to say, the girl wanted to shake her head. No, absolutely not, that stuff is bad for you. However, the more she thought about it, the more she wanted to try it. Sure, it was illegal, but Colette could imagine the shame and awkwardness of drinking something of the sorts in front of a dormmate, especially one who disproved of the idea.

Still without speaking, Colette walked over to Evelyn, her expression a tad regretful, but it was too late to cancel the mission she had set herself upon. Reaching down for the pack of beer, she ripped a bottle from the cardboard case. Expecting to appear cool and nonchalantly swigging the bottle, it was evident that this would not happen as she struggled with the cap. Cursing only in her mind, she gave up opening it with her bare hand as pain surged through her palm. It was a shameful walk as Colette trudged back to the kitchen with a look of defeat, withdrawing a bottle opener from the drawer and forcing the beer cap off with a sharp spritz!

A gossamer trail of vapor wafted from the bottle as Colette peered inside. Suddenly, she didn't want to do this. What if the stuff hurt her? She looked up at Evelyn, then back at the bottle, and put it to her lips, downing a sip.

She immediately ceased this action, letting out a small squeak of surprise at the fowl taste. Yuck! Who would drink this!?
